AFTER MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS I CAN FINALLY LISTEN TO KAITO! 83heavyarmsNovember 5 2009, 14:51:08 UTC
And I got a Prussia icon for my troubles, too.♥
I like Kaito's voice too, though it does sound funny. It's kind of weird too, considering his pseudo-bishie status. And similarity to Russia. ._. Seriously, that outfit he's wearing, and his hair. Not to mention that in 1:18 of "The Application's Love" has sunflowers in it.
Ooh~well, you already know I love "Cantarella." XD It really is one of his best songs. You've compiled quite a lovely selection~
"The Application's Love" is just too cute~♥ I wanted to hug my computer after hearing it. And maybe going out and actually buying said application to justify my hugging it.x3
And "KAITO de NIGHT"--ahh, I love the cool percussion beats here, though honestly hearing him speak English kinda made me laugh. Anywho, I thought only the Vocaloids from Luka's release onwards could sing in both English and Japanese. O.o Clearly, I still have much to learn.
"The Ogre and the Maiden" is so sweet, but I think that, compared to the other songs in the list, it's a little bland--the story, anyway. Looks like another of those run-of-the-mill KaitoxMiku songs, IMHO. "Cantarella" is the only decent one I've found, so far. Unless "The Application's Love" also counts... Still, I like the hollow quality of Kaito's voice here, combined with the small pinpricks of notes. Makes it sound really Japanese, IMHO.xD I just love how haunting it sounds, and the art's really pretty too.
Oh, does that mean that there's a long version of "Tautology"? It's a pretty simple song, but I just love how it juxtaposes a quick beat with a slower, mellower one, in the same way that it juxtaposes two lines of dialogue together. It's clean, but has a very nice effect.
Why is it that "Linaira" makes him look even more like Russia? o.O Anywho, the rhythm and smoothly resplendent strings are pretty familiar to me--they get used a lot in the slow Chinese songs I sometimes listen to, though that makes it bland. Still, I think Kaito's voice shows through here, since his voice has that funny, kinda throaty quality that seems to break such a tranquil musical background. Pretty~
Don't you just love how Kaito's voice works with such Oriental pieces as "Susano'o"? The melody does bear a striking resemblance to many generic Oriental music I've heard, but I'm not exactly good with music, so I doubt I can identify things like that properly. The art's lovely too, for a still-picture MAD--I'm not too fond of those, but they do give the video an overall Eastern feel, reminiscent of shadow puppetry, I think.x3 What irks me is how Kaito's character here convinced me that he's a brave warrior, even though his voice suggests otherwise. Hoo, how curious indeed, our Eastern concept of manliness. ^_^; (BTW, why is it that so many people like to pair him up with Miku? Personally, I think a relationship with Meiko would be a lot funnier.)
The first thing I thought when I heard that last video I thought, ooh, sparkly intro, then I thought, OHDAMN, the title is "I wish they'd just die." This is a very interesting way to handle an angsty song, I must say. ^_^; But I do love the pacing, and the luminous acoustics (woodwinds, I hear woodwinds... ☆_☆). I think the art kind of ruined it for me, though--the hands just look...wrong, but it's consistent, anyway, and of a viewable quality, so, what the heck.
Hahh, these are such nice videos!x3 I gotta store them up in me Memories, just to keep track. I'll check out Miku's entry later though, since I'm finally gonna get a good night's sleep.|3
Say, who's your favorite Vocaloid, though? Mine's Luka.:P

I got into Vocaloid before I got into Hetalia, and now that I think about it Kaito does remind me a lot of Russia. XD I think it's the scarf for me.
The Application's Love made me we want to hug my computer as well. Kaito's just so cute in it. >w<
All of the Vocaloids have the potential in other languages besides Japanese, but the trick is putting the Japanese sounds together to create something that sounds like English. Luka is the best at English, but someone who is really good with the program can make any of the Vocaloids sing English fairly well.
I think the Orge and the Maiden is based off a folk tale, but I'm not entirely sure what the name of it is. But, you're right that it's a pretty typical Kaito/Miku video.
The only long version of Tatuology is Miku's version, so I guess that it was originally written for Miku. Honestly, I like the echo effect in the song.
Great, now I see Russia instead of Kaito in Linaria. I mainly just like the song because of the way Kaito's voice sounds. It's not as goofy as it usually is. XD
I think the melody of Susano'o is a traditional song, so you might have heard it before. I've never seen shadow puppetry before, but I think I can see the relation. I never noticed just how girly his voice is until you mentioned it. A lot of people pair him up with Miku becuase they do make a pretty cute couple. It's boring most of the time, but there are quite a few videos that break the cycle. Kaito/Meiko is just hilarious. They work so well together. XD
I Wish They'd Just Die amuses me to no end. I thought the same thing when I first clicked on it. But, no, he's really chipper and happy!
What about the hands threw you off, if you don't mind me asking?
Go to bed. XD The list I complied for Miku is really long. I wouldn't try to sit through the entire thing at one time.
My favorite Vocaliod is Meiko. Although, I like them all!

Haha, no wonder his voice sounds so funny in "Kaito de Night." But it's pretty cool how they used Japanese sounds for the English like that.
Ooh, Miku's "Tautology" is pretty nice, but I still like Kaito's better. His voice seems suited to that "hollow" effect.
When I watch "Linaria" I immediately thought of Russia. Honestly, the color combination... ^_^;
Yeah, Kaito and Meiko are an awesome team!xD They looked pretty badass too, in the "Servant of Evil" series (that other woman in the vids is Meiko, right?).
The hands...I think the blue nail polish had something to do with it, as well as the almost claw-like features of his hands. They look like an old woman's hands in some scenes.
I like 'em all too!x3 But I think Luka's voice suits me the best, and Kaito's too, for being so cute and silly.
And--And, yeah, I'll go to bed. Niiice comfy bed. Need to keep awake tomorrow. Me Introduction to Global Society professor's giving neat lectures on political thinkers from different countries. (HE TALKED ABOUT A COUPLE OF PRUSSIAN ONES THE LAST TIME.8D)
