A few weeks ago I ordered a pizza online from Pizza Hut. They opened at 11:00 am (just like every day), and I was placing the order at 9:00 am. So I hit the "future delivery" button and it popped up with 11:00 am entered automatically and gave me the option to change it. I thought, "good enough" and went for that time.
About an hour after I placed my order I got a call from Pizza Hut. They told me that they would be unable to deliver it right at 11:00 since they were just opening then, and it'd be closer to 11:20. I laughed and informed them that would be fine.
The delivery person arrived at around the time they said she would and teasingly apologized that the pizza wasn't here right at 11:00. After I signed the receipt (since I find it easier to pay by debit card than to go to the bank and withdraw money) and she left, I suddenly realized that I'd forgotten to put down a tip for her. I felt horrible.
So today I ordered from the same Pizza Hut. Who shows up at my door with my pizza than the same driver?! She was still bright and happy, and my food was perfect (aside from having a different soda than I'd originally ordered, but they'd already called ahead to let me know they were out of the one I wanted and to find out what I would like instead, so that's nothing).
So I tipped her double this time.
Man do I feel better, haha!
