“You look like shit,” she comments as they enter the house. “Finally kill that human?” she asks sardonically. She ignores the growl emanating from his chest. Someone’s a bit moody, she thinks.
They barely make it into her bedroom before she is being pushed against the wall. His lips move hungrily against hers. She’s shocked - this isn’t a side of him she’s ever seen before - but the shock only lasts a moment before lust takes over and she presses her body against his.
He reaches back and fumbles for the door knob, his lips moving from her lips to her neck. From the moment the door closes, it’s a never ending stream of discarded clothes and breathless moans, hands grasping and lips exploring, nails raking down granite skin all leading up to the moment of their absolution.
She can’t keep the smirk off her face as she watches him get dressed.
“I knew you couldn’t resist forever,” she tells him, mirth dripping off her words. “Are you staying? You didn’t bring any bags,” she realizes.
He glares at her coolly, straightening his button-down shirt. “No,” he replies. “I have to go.”
She stares at him, wondering why it was he came then.
“I just needed a distraction,” he murmurs, heading out the door. “But there is no distraction from the pain.”
