Nothing warned him that a not-so-friendly welcoming party would be waiting for him in his front yard, but apparently Sam let the entire pack know he was on the way.
"Not everything is about you, Jacob Black," she spits angrily, propelling herself with a rough push out of her sitting position. "How dare you run?" He stops - she doesn't, and with a few strides, she's in front of him, glaring up with fire raging in her eyes. He takes a step back.
"You lost," she hisses, and he flinches. "So the girl you love got married to someone else. So what? It doesn't give you the right to abandon everyone and sulk in another fucking corner of the world."
He studies her more closely as she continues, shoving his chest every few words with more strength than she ought to have. "You really think your pain makes you unique? It doesn't. And the rest of the world doesn't give a fuck if you've been shredded to ribbons on the inside, your job is to act like it didn't happen and not let it affect other people! Because it does, when you drown yourself in self-pity, it leaks to everyone else around you and it doesn't make any of it better at all--"
When he slips an arm around her and pulls her to his chest with strength that could press the breath from her lungs, she doesn't struggle, matching the hard pressure of his lips on hers without hesitation. Two pairs of eyes let tears fall unheeded as they drown in each other. Two wolves seek refuge from a brokenness they'd die to forget, finding it for a moment in the mirror image of themselves.

this needs to happen. even if he ends up imprinting on angela, this HAS to happen when he comes back. please? probably not. smeyer pales in comparison to her fans, obv.
i wager that she imprints on him and keeps quiet about it because she's had to deal with losing sam, and she doesn't want jacob to have the same quick fix because SHE IS A SELFISH BITCH BUT I LOVE HER ANYWAY.

fanfic makes bella so much cooler than she is in the books, which is sometimes annoying and sometimes a blessing. maybe i will just ignore canon and hate her in the books, like her in fanfic and the movie.
