Random Post to Change the Calendar
I'm glad it's 2012 now. Really, my mind skipped 2011 entirely, as three separate checks I wrote last year can attest to! XD
My band of the moment: Middle Brother. All three guys are in other bands that I really like so I'm surprised it took me so long to find them (Dawes, Delta Spirit, and Deer Tick). It just feels like three friends got together and decided to jam. Good times.
I'm not very good at drawing. Really, it's kind of embarrassing but I'm determined to be artistic. I have a wacom pad (bamboo pen) but I've found it's really difficult for me to draw on there. Coloring is good and shading is wonderful, but the drawing bit is just too hard for me. I prefer to draw on paper but I've never scanned anything in to complete it on the computer b/c our "printing station" is a bunch of crap. It's a three fold machine that's supposed to print, fax, and scan. Except it won't print anything b/c it keeps thinking we're out of cyan ink when we're so not. It won't fax b/c it won't connect to our phone line. And I assumed it couldn't scan anything because it's crap.
Yeah it cut a bit off of the top and bottom but I'm amazed at all the details it picked up. Namely all that grey that I had no idea was on the paper! Thank goodness the photoshop eraser doesn't wear down like the pencil eraser I was using today does! XD This is a VERY early draft of one of the prompts for the Rainbow Sherbet binge I'm planning on RaTs.
On a random spelling note, why doesn't 'sherbet' have another r in front of the T? I have never heard anyone say shur-bet. It's shur-burt. What's up with that dictionary? XD
