I love Christmas. I forget about how much I love it during the year and when someone asks me what my favorite holiday is I almost never mention Dec. 25th, but truthfully I do. I just love this time of year and the way everyone cheers up a bit in anticipation. Good times.
As I mentioned
last Christmas, my mum and I do a TON of baking. On the menu this year were sandwich cookies, french cookies, snickerdoodles (with maple sugar instead of brown, OMG makes all the difference!), sugar cookies, cranberry oatmeal white chocolate cookies, gingerbread cookies, individual sized peppermint bundt cakes, white and dark chocolate peppermint bark, chocolate dipped Southern Comfort cherries, and Kahlua truffles. If you weren't counting, that's TEN types of sweets this year.
There was no staging of the baked goods except for one:
We had a cookie casualty this year. Reactions were mixed.
