THE BASICS Name: Lynnie Age: 27 in November Location: Florida
YOUR FAVORITES Books: Ooh. I'm a big lover of Stephen King, I'm still getting through them, but since starting ASOFAI I've been madly in love with them, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and assorted books here and there along the way. I don't read much for fun right now because I'm in school and just cannot muster the motivation to read for fun when I've spent hours all week reading for school. I'm looking forward to graduation partly just so I can read for pleasure agin. Video Games: Okay, I like a lot of games, but I'm not good at most of them. When I'm playing, I really enjoy the God of War trilogy, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and Dead Space. If I'm watching, I love watching my husband play MGS and again, Fallout. Of course I also enjoy the throwback stuff from my childhood, so NES and SNES games like Mario 3, Super Mario Bros., Luigi's Mansion, and a slew of other older titles. Movies: This is SUCH a long list. I love Quentin Tarantino and Kevin Smith, cheesy horror movies and too many documentaries to count. I'm more drawn to comedies and horror than drama, but I love a good spaghetti western or occasional drama. I think often it's easier to list movies I don't like than the ones I do. XD TV Shows: Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Scrubs, Archer, Mad Men, Futurama, probably way more that I'm forgetting and will kick myself for later. I'm also always perusing Netflix for older tv shows I might have never tried when they were airing and am now fond of (Desperate Housewives is the most recent). Ships: Cecil and Carlos. Celebrities: Uh. I like lots of celebrities, really, but I'm having trouble getting them to spring to mind for these purposes. Music: Very eclectic. I love A Perfect Circle, Mumford & Sons, Steam Powered Giraffe, Clint Mansell, several soundtracks, random bits and pieces of country music, the Protomen, Adele... it's a long list of very mixed genres. Sports: I never played sports as a kid or in high school. I was a band nerd. But for fun I do enjoy swimming and horseback riding, so I suppose those will suffice as an answer. And if you meant sports that I enjoy watching, that would be none. I just don't enjoy watching sports. Hobbies: I feel like I'm not a super well rounded person in this respect. I like watching tv, and reading, and playing video games. I like to cook, though my husband usually does the lion's share of that. I actually find pleasure in cleaning my house, so I look really forward to my Sundays which are my deep cleaning days of the week and it's relaxing for me. I also have started to enjoy working out. My husband and I recently started working out so that we can be healthier and, y'know, live longer. XD Anyway, I hated it at first, but I'm actually really enjoying busting out some tension on the treadmill and genuinely look forward to our gym days. I don't do any crafts and I don't much like socializing with people in general, so I am very much a homebody who spends most of her time either doing things solo or with my husband.
Apparently my original response was WAAAAY too long for LJ's comment limit, so here are the other questions that wouldn't fit.
YOUR JOURNAL What's your friending policy?: I don't really have one. If you seem cool and you think I'm cool and we seem to have shit in common then let's do this. :D How often do you update?: Well, right now I'm doing a 30 day meme, so I've been updating daily, but between work and school I usually don't update more than once a week, though sometimes I will post three times in a week and sometimes only once in a couple weeks. It's not super consistent right now because I'm so busy with work and school. What do you usually update about?: Anything from work stuff, personal stuff between myself and my family/friends/husband, and school stuff I've got going on. I would say 99% of my posts are directly about me - I don't post about fandoms because I don't really belong to any fandoms, at least not in the post about them frequently sense, and I almost never post about politics/current events.
THE RANDOM What's your favorite things about fall?: Florida doesn't really experience fall, but when I lived in Georgia (my home state) my favorite parts of fall were the trees changing color, the smell of barbecues or burning leaves from people's yards, and the necessity of socks and throw blankets in your home. What are three random facts about you?: I can cross one eye at a time, I have a near photographic memory, and I have always wanted more than anything to be able to be talented at drawing/painting/sculpting/just basically art-ing. Alas I cannot do any of those things at all. Really bad at them. XD Anything else you'd like to share?: I'm a pretty easygoing person. I'm liberal, open-minded, pro-choice/gay/sex/women/equality in general so I don't dig on discrimination in any way and if you're anti just about anything, I'm probably not going to get along with you and so we should save ourselves some time. On a less hard no note, I'm an atheist and childfree, but I have plenty of friends with children or who are religious - as long as everyone respects each other and doesn't try to force anyone else to "their side" then we are all good. Right now might not be the best time to do a meme because a lot of people might be expecting frequent, regular updates and I can't exactly guarantee that at this time, BUT I still wanted to give it a shot, because I could totally use more friends because friends are awesome. :D

I'm right in the middle of reading ASOFAI too. And STEPHEN KING! I used to own all of his books... I read them cover to cover again and again when I was in high school.
CECIL/CARLOS!
I think we could be excellent friends, if you'd like to give it a try. I don't mind infrequent updating or commenting.
