The First of the Lasts...
Well, the major one's at least. This friday was the last football game and Saturday was closing night for Mockingbird.
Senior night was fun, though I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't worried about trying to make it to TKM in time (which by the way, I didn't. I couldn't go on at all, but people still forced me to go out for the curtain call) But I heard all the seniors pretty much broke off and danced the whole band show. Wish I could have seen that. But first and second quarter were fun, aside from Shamelle obnoxious friends who flipped us off because we made her sit with the rest of the guard. Sooorry (&^#R&#$, obviously the ONLY reason you came to the game was to talk to her, and you obviously were never going to see her again after tonight and we were SO horrible to make you miss gossiping about stupid nonsense anyways. Sorry for the sarcasm overload, but they really bothered me.
Closing night was really good. I think Emma may have gotten a bit too squeaky, but we're all prone to overdo it a bit after we've performed a few times. The football made it over the Radley house ( ;D ), and we only had few miniscule improv moment.s. The cast party was pretty good, it was kind of boring while we waited for Ms. B. But paper plates were fun, especially since we got to present them. We jsut have to remember not to give Carly anything along the lines of "Ghetto Fab" for VHSL.
Strike was today, which meant several hours of lifting heavy wood, inhaling sawdust, and sorting through the costumes for the highest-priority-for-the-next-wash-load pieces. And may I say that I hate those wigs. They're disgusting!
And with the end of TKM nd marching band, there go my excuses for procrastinating college applications. *sigh*. But let's not even get into that...
