I'm definitely what you would call a pack-rat. I never throw much away or it takes me a long time to do it. I've got receipts lying around all over the place from years ago. Unnecessary instruction manuals and warranty cards are crammed in various drawers in my place. Things like that. But with all that junk I never really have a lot in the way of "keepsakes". Things you keep that actually MEAN something. Sure I've got a few things and I do tend to like to keep my various movie ticket stubs for fun but nothing great. Nothing that you could pull out to a child 50 years from now and go "Look at this."
Well not too long ago a certain someone became President of the United States. And that was huge. So I figured "Hey. If there was anything worth keeping, how about the newspaper on that day?" So I've got the local paper the day after that election. And as cool as it was, it was kind of lying there all by its lonesome. Kind of like more pack-rat junk. A few times I almost considered tossing it. I mean, as cool as it was it was only one paper.
Well now that paper has some company.
Geaux Saints.
