Winter Olympics 2010 - Figure Skating
Watching the Winter Olympics right now.
Figure skating, more specifically, though my hall's been obsessed with curling pretty much the whole time.
First of all, these people are good - as should be expected, given that it's the Olympics and all.
(I have a sudden mental image of Pepper Potts skating and Tony Stark being mesmerized by her. It doesn't help that one of the skaters looked sort of like her as played by Gwyneth Paltrow in the recent live-action movies. And there's the other fic idea - one of the Koshimizu twins - likely Natsumi - is great at competition-style skating. Fanfic, stop attacking me~!)
But Kim Yu-Na was really damn good. Right after she first performed, she was about forty points ahead of everyone else. As of me typing this, she's close to twenty points ahead of everyone else.
(Waiting for Mirai Nagasu's scores to come up - Kim Yu-Na is confirmed to be officially 228.56 - 205.50 = 23.06 points ahead and the original difference was 228.56 - 188.86 = 39.70.)
Her performance was mind-blowing, too. Every nuance she put into her performance . . . She was really freaking good.
Going to work on fic and the OTPsong!meme now.
