It has to be crazy lesbians who turn out to be some of the worser big bads (oh, wait, OF COURSE it has to be lesbians because all the other female big bads have fallen afoul of Takuto's charms, amirite)? - Yeah, I'm kind of with a majority of people on the subject of Gosick: it's pretty much just fun to watch for Victorique's cuteness. Otherwise, Kujo's pretty dull for a leading man. Also, kinda steamed at episode 5 for getting me all pumped up about a KAITOU and then it turning out to be the crazy girl who wants to kill people. Kaitou aren't murderers! Boo.
- I am loving Hourou Musuko as much as I loved Aoihana. It makes me tear up all the time though. You can really see Takatsuki's struggle with his body (and somewhat of his horror at it) and it's really nice that he has someone to help him through it (like suggesting the flattening vest, among other things). I kind of wonder if that woman (can't remember her name) is a trans woman herself though ... There have been some subtle hints but I don't want to draw any conclusions yet. And the trading names was eeeeeee. Nitori makes me tear up the most though, with her sad acknowledgment of body hair and voice-changing. DAMNIT THOUGH CHIBA, SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE A GUY SO DON'T SAY THINGS LIKE THAT! Are you saying you can't love her as a girl!? (I know, I know, these things are complicated, and I actually rather sympathize with Chiba. Not in her feelings of wanting Nitorin to be a boy, but being stuck where exactly she is in the love triangle.)
God, yesterday was shit, and that's all I'm going to say about it. I know I said I'd use this as a place to vent, but somehow I think that ranting about yesterday wouldn't make me feel any better. It'd just remind me of all the bad stuff that happened. So, instead, have a video from the Setsubun ceremony at Tsubaki Shrine that we attended on Sunday:
He is firing three shots to purify the present, past and future. I was going to film it with my Flip, but it crapped out and I had to switch to my cellphone. Hence why I only caught two shots. >.>
The shrine recently reconstructed its smaller shrine to the river and forest on the grounds (it got destroyed by a winter storm a few years ago) and I wanted to see it since it was a part of the grounds I'd never seen before. We had to troop back in the woods a little ways and cross a very narrow bridge over one of the streams flowing into the river, and then up some steps into the hill. The shrine is so cute and tiny! I left some coins and salt there.
Hmm, not much else to say at the moment. Think I'm gonna go write or edit.
EDIT: REMEMBERED WHAT I WANTED TO DO! TO DO LISTS! LOL
Today:
- PREPARE THOSE DAMN CHICKEN THIGHS WHEN YOU GET HOME! (I dun care how tired you are. JUST DO IT. Use your awesome new boning knife!
Tomorrow (day off):
- Clean out one of the litter boxes completely (time to start the rotation)
- Contact the shrine about wedding ceremony stuffs (I know, exciting right? XD)
- DO SOME LAUNDRY
- ... FFFF I can't remember the other stuff? I dunno, wander a bit? OH YEAH. Go check out the artesian well on 164th.
