Well, if you wanna get super-technical, the first anime I watched were shows like:
The Littl' Bits, or
Noozles (mind you, those were when I was tiny and still watching Nick Jr.)
BUT! The first time I really became an obsessive fan of a series (around the time I was 13) was ... wait for it ...:
