Horsies!
So w00t, my brother's Christmas gift to me was a horseback ride thru the mesa trails out here at Lajitas. I've been begging for a horseback ride since I was seven, and now I finally got it! ^_^ It was so fun, and I can see how it could be addictive - I wouldn't mind riding a few times a week. My horse (an odd bugger named Rojo, sweet as could be) had blatant disregard for me saying "No, you can't eat that" and kept stopping to eat anyway, but eh. My dad's horse caught her back leg on a rock and almost went down, but caught herself just before she hit. Glad it was dad's and not mine - he rode for years when he was younger, so he kept his saddle, whereas I'dve prolly fallen off.
In other news, went to an interesting bar last night called La Kiva (the cave). Appropriately enough, its built inside....a cave. Stalactites and all. Nifty cool. Anywho, going to go wash up now, wind picked up during the ride and the dust really got into my skin and hair.
