... so Hakuba joins the ranks of the brainless? Keh... that idiot.

[and thanks to his run-in with Sophie and Tiffany, something has been weighing heavily on his mind recently]

Who else noticed the differences in the brainwashings from before? Drones have gotten violent, but people who have been turned intro drones... I've never seen that before ( Read more... )

Ohhhh?

The drones were some of the first warnings I was given, and they became violent very shortly after my arrival in this place. I was under the impression that such atrocities were common among the drones... you say it's rare?

The ones living in the town get violent all the time.

When people, actual people get turned into drones, they hardly act violently.

Ahhh, I see the difference. All of my so-called family members have recently become drones, so I'm praying this does not become a pattern amongst them. "Arthur" wasn't very good at fighting, but he could very well have harmed someone who did not expect an attack.

[Justin had tried to occupy England away from causing harm, but this was most likely already after he'd already injured/killed some people. He doesn't know that though.]

If this is the first incidence of it happening, though, it's possible that their brainwashing abilities have become stronger. If that's the case, I suggest they were using him as an experiment.

You saw him while he was brainwashed?

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised.

As I said, I have been vigilant of drones ever since my arrival, and so when it was apparent that he had been droned, I accompanied him for a time to keep an eye on him in case he became a danger to others. He attacked me, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. After this, he went home.

I wouldn't either, but it's not the only possible theory. Do you know if the Milkman can personally brainwash others? If this was his doing, that in itself could be the cause for the violence. He is notorious for creating dangerous situations, and I know for a fact that England was planning to tangle with him. This is, either way, the most likely cause of the droning.

... where he attacked Sophie-san and Tiffany-san.

The milkman? All brainwashings I've heard of came from Grady or the Mayor.

.... Ohhhh! I could have sworn I didn't see anyone else there... how could I make such an error!? Did they make it?

As for the brainwashing - I was merely asking, but the Milkman had been Mayor for a short period, so I wonder if he could have learned how to do it at that time. It's not something I have much information about, I'm afraid - I am still fairly new here.

They're okay. Shaken up, but okay.

He might have. 'M not sure. No one knows how they do the brainwashing, anyway.

I'm glad to hear it. I feel incompetent enough already.

Is that so? Hmm... Well, it could still be experiments, but the Milkman learning to brainwash would be a simpler explanation. We'll just have to observe what happens from now on and see what we make of it. See if there is a pattern of people being violently brainwashed after run-ins with the milkman, or any other similarities, if it even happens again.

Don't blame yourself. It's definitely not your fault.

You're right. We can't make any conclusions now. We'll just have to see.

Maybe not, but ... I still feel I hold some responsibility. I supported England's declaration of war, among other things.

[He doesn't even want to talk about he part where his God commanded him to maintain order in Europe - and he believes the personifications are real, so. Mayfield is making his job a bitch in the most absurd ways. :|]

We will see, while keeping hypotheses in mind so that we can better interpret what we see.

His war against Mayfield? Was that part of the brainwashing?

Right.

As I understood it, his declaration was against the Milkman specifically, not Mayfield in general. At least, that's how it sounded from all the direct threats he was making to him, which was why I considered the possibility of the Milkman being the brain-washer and why I supported it in the first place. The man is a menace, and it sounded as though he was planning to execute him.

That would make sense. If he targeted the Milkman, the Milkman might have tried to get back at Mayfield for not voting for him by using him.

Or if we are assuming it was indeed the milkman, perhaps he was simply vindictive against England for attacking him. A form of punishment, making him attack those he cares about.
