"What are we saying 'I will, with God's help' to?"
Just ordered a pizza, let's see how long it takes me to type this ^^.
Today was very... interesting to say the least. We had inauguration stuff for the new president of the college today. First I had to sing at chapel, and then I had to drag myself back to the two classes I was actually having and, well, talked to one of the professors. I had to be at the Elmen Center (our gym) at 2 to get ready for the big crazy ceremony at 3. And it was a lot bigger than I anticipated. The Congressional Representatives of South Dakota were there o_O;;. You don't know how much I wanted to punch John Thune in that smug face of his... XD. And the ceremony was so long and boring! DX We only sang like three songs ourselves, and there were a few hymns and way too many speeches. Totally zoned out on his inaugural one. But there were some good moments, like when various groups of the college were giving him books and Administrations gave him five Dr. Seuss books XDDD.
After that I talked to Stephanie Herseth for a little bit because that's my grandma's maiden name so I'm fairly certain we're distantly related, and she seemed to know that family history and said the "split" probably goes back to the sons of the original immigrant ^^;. She's so nice! I heart her! I can't vote for her, but she really doesn't need my help. Also got to shake hands with Tim Johnson (the other Senator) and talk to the Mayor of Sioux Falls for a bit. I stayed clear of Thune, lol.
After this it was 5 (much later than I'd planned), and the special dinner was starting at six (there were lots of motorcycles cause our new president loves Harleys XD), so I was about to go get dinner in our little side food place when I realized something. I thought I had to work at six, but then it struck me that that was the time I got off tomorrow. Yeah. I was supposed to be there at five. But I ran to my room, got ready, and walked as quickly as I could there. The funny thing was my manager thought I was supposed to be in at 6, too, so it wasn't a problem. But I was panicked for a while.
So, work was work. Same old same old. Except this one guy was buying my favorite item (yes, condoms. See previous entry about me freaking out), and, as I usually do, I said "Have a nice night!" as he left. The guy proceeds to say "Oh, I will." I'm really glad I had my back turned cause I was making a very strange face ^^;.
So, I was doing a lot of stuff and it came time to close and I was facing everything (pulling stuff to the front, basically), and suddenly someone calls my name. candy__chan, I did not know your cousin worked at this Walgreens!!! XDDD It was... really surprising. But cool. Although, I guess I never mentioned where I work, so... yeah. My brain died.
Since I went dinnerless, I just ordered a pizza like I said. Should be here soonish. Yum. Pizza. Yay for late dinners! ^^;
