New Character Singles!!!
Well, the next set of Inuyasha Character Singles came out today. And, due to my sneaky resources, I have heard all three. Let me just say: Wow. Honestly, "Kaze No Naka E" was the only one that got me going last time. I mean, I love all of them, but... Okay, I don't know where I'm going with this.
So we have songs for Naraku, Kagome, and Bankotsu & Jakotsu. Naraku's song ("Rakujitsu") is really good. The sound fits him well. I don't know what it means, but it sounds really freakishly awesome villian-like. I wasn't expecting him to be a tenor, though XD. And it's kind of funny hearing a portrait song after what just happened in the manga ^^;. Kagome's ("Tatta Hitotsu no Yakusoku") is also fitting. The background started and I was like o_O "Too happy/peppy!" I didn't realize what a good singer Satsuki Yukino was, though, so I enjoyed it.
Now for this sets star piece, "Abarero!" Holy freaking crap. It completely fit Banky and Jakotsu. It was definitely my favorite song from the first listen (much like "Kaze no Naka E"). And I know you're all thinking "Well, yeah. It has Bankotsu in it and you're such a freak when it comes to him." Honestly, Ai Orikasa just made this song for me. She was in character the entire freaking time! I mean, with some of these characters it's hard to portray them while singing (Inuyasha and Sesshomaru for example). The songs are great, and yet I don't always feel as though it is that character singing. But you listen to her and it's totally Jakotsu! Oh, I loved it so much. Takeshi Kusao sounded great too, don't get me wrong. He had enough of a Bankotsu air to satify me. In fact, all of them did very well.
Here's what's bugging me: Why did the first three have other characters doing back-up? They could have totally handled their own pieces, especially since we're getting new ones that are only the characters they're portraying. Perhaps Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sesshomaru will have solos? Nah... Although I would love to hear Kouji Tsujitani sing again, lol. And Kappei Yamaguchi for that matter. *suddenly imagines Detective Conan character songs* Oh god, Shinichi/Conan's would be hilarious... He's tone deaf! Anyway, I definitely hoping for more of these and soon. Pretty much every agrees that we need a Sango feature. Houko Kuwashima's voice is freaking amazing.
