I love it when Chase falls back on his faith when all else fails. It really hits close to home for me. Such is the deal with faith, it's rarely totally gone if you had it once, and it was strong. >.>

Bah, he failed to save the kid. That's crushing. After the sneak peak you gave me, I kind of wanted him to have at least that to cling to. But nope, why let any light in if you can let 'em sit in the overwhelming darkness of ANGST? :P

Oh, guh. Just, GUH.

Cameron is so spot-on scared of getting exactly what she wants that she just refuses to even fight for it.

And Chase, with his own silent grief and the slow pace at which their relationship is already crumbling. The very last line in this chapter killed me. Great stuff.

OH.God. Loved it! Especially the last words "begging for forgiveness from the life he never knew he truly wanted until it was gone" They were perfect like the rest of the story.
