I shouldn't have gone to Ann Arbor.
It showed me everything I wish Tallahassee was.
It was amazing. Every three store fronts was a book store. Ever six was an antique book store.
I came back with a thumb piano from Tanzania,
beautiful handmade paper prints of birds, maps, and elephants,
Library editions of Keats and Byron printed in the early 20s,
a first edition of Capote's Christmas Memories,
A gorgeous tattered printing of Jack London's Star Rover from 1915,
and best of all, a two edition encyclopedia of egyptology published in 1886.
I saw Son of Rambow at two reel theatre called The State,
and I went to Kerrytown to go to Hollanders and the world Famous Zingerman's Deli.
I'm in love with another unattainable city.
at least this one is in the U.S.
