Oohh, this was very interesting! xD! I have never watched Sanctuary so I admit I was a little lost and not as interested in those parts in comparison to the bits where the Castle characters popped up - but I have to say this was well written and a very entertaining read. *grin!*

I REALLY enjoyed your Martha and Alexis, by the way. :D

Also, I'm very curious about this:

“Hello, vriend! Ek wou jouvra oor die Liath jy het in ‘n koshuis? Ishy nog steeds in kontak met sy volk?”

What language is this? I'm guessing Afrikaans, b-but not entirely sure so I figured I'd ask. ^^;;

Thanks! Glad you liked it, even if you don't know Sanctuary!

It is Afrikaans! The way I figure it, growing up in the Sanctuary with Helen as a pseudo-parent/teacher, Henry probably has a few languages rolling around in his head. She seems the type who would be drilling her children with vocabulary flashcards and language quizzes from the time they could sit up.

Oooh, also, in the fic I implied that a Sanctuary character (deceased) was Castle's mystery dad. James Watson (the basis for Doyle's Sherlock Holmes) is a character who, though born in the 1800's, had his life prolonged through use of a cool, steampunk suit. Because he (and several friends) injected themselves with pure vampire blood, he recieved the ability to control his thinking more readily and his IQ grew exponentially.

I thought he'd be a good choice for Castle's dad, as Rick often sees things far ouside the usual investigative box.

I may have to give Sanctuary a try now... ;) It sounds really interesting!

The Afrikaans is a really cool touch! :) I was curious about it because I speak Dutch, and, well, I'm not that familiar with Afrikaans but I know it's very similar to my own language (except more like a non-conjugated oldskool version?) - it was either that or something I would've typed when REALLY drunk. *laughs!*

I thought he'd be a good choice for Castle's dad, as Rick often sees things far ouside the usual investigative box.

That's pretty neat! Next time someone asks me about Castle's father... I'm going to tell them "I think it's that guy from Sanctuary!" ;) haha.

I just got into Sanctuary last fall at the urging of a friend and it is pretty cool. I mean, it had Dr. Watson, has Jack the Ripper (as the main characters love interest-- sorta), deliciously sarcastic Vampire!Nikola Tesla, kick ass women, a werewolf computer nerd (who's the cutie in my icon) and a sasquatch as a butler ( ... )

Thank you! I thought the changing POV's would give the fic a...different feel. Keep it from getting boring.

I liked it! Great story! And I love the idea of James being Castle's father. Oh, I bet that if he finds out one day that he's the son of the real Sherlock Holmes, he won't stop fangirling! Hehe!

And Ashley's back home, that's great, too!

I've never watched Sanctuary, but I'm a huge fan of crossovers in general. :)
