Grandmother Wanda passed away. She fought hard, batting the ovarian cancer that tried to defeat her, struggling on her own terms.
My heart is healing yet saddened. I miss her so much - her smile, laugh, quick wit, gentleness, love and kindness.
The tears threaten to come, filling my eyes, spilling down each cheek. I wish to hug her again, tell GiGi I love her.
She is no longer suffering and in pain from the cancer that ravaged her body. She is with Grandpa, in heaven, at peace.
She is also reunited with her youngest son, Vincent. And with her parents. And meeting Brownie, Spartan, and Lady at the Rainbow Bridge.
GiGi is a guardian angel from above looking down upon loved ones below.
And everytime a Elvis Presley and Prince song plays, I smile to think of her.
