Work
My first day at the new job was good. Was a little bit boring as I didn't really have anything to do partly cause I didn't know anything and partly cause I didn't have access/log ins to stuff yet, which is fair enough. There is a learning curve/transitional period to be expected when starting a new job.
I'm working at Suncorp Metway as part of the Risk Underwriters Assessment Team in the insurance area. Yeah... mouthful? ;) The work seems abit full on at this stage but nothing I can't handle I don't think (touch wood!). Really reminded me of working at the hospital in London. Only difference is that it seems like a pretty cruisy workplace and the people seem cool... which is helpful! There are even 2 ex-casino staff, they both worked in the same restuarant as me! Small world.
I'm dead tired today though. Really didn't sleep very well and am SO not used to the early start. Took me forever to fall asleep and when I did I had freaky Max/Alec dreams from Dark Angel. Max actually killed Alec! How rude! The only thing I was really concerned about was finding the building. Wasn't at all worried or nervous about the new workplace. Man I've temped at enough places now to have no worries about rocking up to a new random workplace :) But found the building and had no dramas so all is good.
Now, as sad as it is at this hour, I'm off to bed :)
