Update...
I've been quite busy lately so here's a quick run down:
Friday & Saturday:
Was spent doing a Mars-a-thon. Watched the whole first season. I didn't realise that I had actually seen quite a lot of episodes, thought it was only about 6 but turned out to be 10 or so. Was cool to see the whole season... finally! Saturday was awesome as I didn't even get out of my pj's the whole day!
Sunday:
Went to a blues club in Soho that Ash has been raving about. It wasn't at all what I expected though. Was very, very small and the band was not what I thought blues would be. They weren't bad though but after awhile it all started sounding the same. I did get chatted up by a 32 year old! That was interesting and rather random. I'm sure it's cause I had a rather revealing shirt on which is new for me. Karlie, Justyna and Ash all had a feel at some stage throughout the night. We had an awesome time, even if the crowd was a rather odd bunch.
Karlie cracked me up most of the night for how drunk she was. It was one of those nights where you had to catch her before she fell over, or had to pick her up off the floor cuase other people were trying to go to the toilets. It really is a "guess you had to be there" in the drunken moment thing but it was hilarious.
Getting home was interesting too. We seemed to wander around for ages trying to find a cab. Karlie was abusing random strangers, which she doesn't remember and i have several photos of her straddling a pole, which she wanted to take home. We ended up getting a kebab or the English equivalent of a kebab as they are shit and nowhere near as good as back home. A real kebab doesn't need to be eaten with a fork! Did meet a guy from Perth who played the digeridoo for us, that was cool. Eventually got a cab home and got home bout 2ish. Was a good night out.
Monday:
Being the bank holiday we all had the day off. Was so keen to just stay in bed all day as I did have a headache, think that was from the tequila shot as I never usually do them and never usually have headaches. All I wanted to do was catnap in the afternoon but my phone and karlie's phone kept beeping and right on the verge of drifting off. The day started out kinda shit looking but then it fined up and I knew that I should drag my arse outta bed to go and see the carnival afterall it will probably be the only time that I'm in London for it so I should go. Ash piked again as he is prone to doing. Justyna was at work, Liane was away for the weekend, Katarina went out with friends and Sarah did go in the afternoon. Karlie and I eventually got outta bed and got ready and went and met sarah at a pub.
We walked around and found a good spot to view the carnival. I'm really glad we did go as I had a great time and took heaps of photos. The costumes and dancers were really cool. I'm not to sure about tendency to hump and grind on each other all the time... that's not really my idea of dancing and certainly not family entertainment. The carnival was good and had a great day. The crowd started to thin out bout 6ish and we all got a spot at the front of the barriers so had a great view. It wasn't that hectic getting home on the tube either and no where near as crowded as getting into the carnival.
Have been working at IDEA all last week and picked up some extra shifts this week. Also got a call from Sandra to say that ABPI have requested me for monday next week. Hopefully I can get some more days outta it also. I asked her bout my holiday pay also and apparently it's included in the payrate apparently. There was a rather awkward pause after I asked her and she did ignore my email about it so I'm thinking they are being pretty dodgy with it. But not much I can do bout it. Paying October's rent is going to be interesting. Hope Ash is in a giving mood.... NOT FUCKING LIKELY!!
I've paid for the last flight that mum and I need for our trip!! I'm getting super fucking excited!! Getting super fucking excited about Germany also. There is so much cool shit coming up that I can't wait!! Am so looking forward to being a tourist again and getting out of fucking england. Not sure how i'll go paying for everything to do with germany though. Think I'll just scape by. But I don't want to pay for everything and then be left with no spending money! Speaking of spending though, I'm staying up til midnight tonight to buy my Chili Peppers ticket!! Fuck yeah... it's going to be awesome to see them again.
Finally went to the doctor to register. Wasn't too much of a hassle but still wasn't easy. The chick at reception was rather aburpt and unhelpful at first. I have to go back on wednesday to have a check up with the nurse, complete with urine sample and then my registration will be complete. Dude all I want is a script! The NHS is so fucked!
