Sudoku will be the death of me
I got hooked on Sudoku cause of the tv show that's on and they combine the puzzles with general knowledge trivia questions and teams of people that try to come up with witty names and be funny etc. It really is quite entertaining to watch.
Then I moved onto doing the puzzles that are in the newspaper. When you're on the tube you see people doing them in the metro paper and other papers. The girls have started buying papers so I started doing the sudoku puzzles in them.
Then I bought a book of sudoku puzzles to help ease the boredom of being home all day when the best thing on tv is snooker. Not that I mind watching snooker but that's another story. The book I bought just happens to have a puzzle in the front that if you complete it and send in the answer you could win £100 or the runner up prize of a mug that says, "I heart sudoku". It's totally tacky but I so want one and that was my downfall.
I've been doing this puzzle for the past 4 days!! I've done it at least 8 times and it is frustrating the fuck outta me. To fill in almost the entire puzzle and them realise about 5 squares from the end that you've fucked up somewhere and have to start again. It's driving me slowly insane.
But I'm a stubborn fucker and I've persevered with it and today I finished it!! I was so excited, sarah was there and apparently my whole face went red. Not sure what's that about... but I was just so relived to finally finish this puzzle. I couldn't let this thing that I knew was do-able beat me and it didn't!!
I'd like to thank my dragonfly necklace for constantly being a source of inspiration and my soundtrack for the momentous occasion... Dropkick Murphy's and Turbonegro. 2 of my fav and 2 of the best, they really helped me get through the tough times.
