You know what really gets me? When you're walking down the hallway or a street and you see someone you know but you don't want to say hello so you just kind of look straight ahead or away and while the both of you pass by each other there is, just for a split second, a very strong feeling of awkwardness. And you know they're there, and they know you know they're there but nobody says anything.
