Sub the goldarned episode 24 already, Shinsen

VOWELS ;___;

So yeah...Tieria "dies". And I refuse to watch the episode without having subs to understand what's going on, so I don't end up depressed over stuff I can't understand.

Possibilities for Episode 25:

1. Tieria redownloads himself into a human body (unlikely, unless there's another Regene clone floating around somewhere; they have the same DNA after all) after Veda's destroyed. One wonders why Regene didn't just do that himself. One also wonders if Ribbons had a limited set of substitute bodies stashed away on the Innovade base somewhere, and that if he was repeatedly killed he'd eventually run out of bodies to use.  Also...Tieria doesn't get enough closure if he becomes human again. What's he going to *do* as a human, as opposed to an all-powerful supercomputer that can guide humanity, which is what he wanted?

2. Tieria "dies" with Veda's destruction  = bugger you, Sunrise, killing him once wasn't enough?

3. Tieria stays immortal with Veda (and friggin' Regene) and guides humanity through the rest of time = meh. Immortality is depressing. It would probably be the best way for Tieria to live on; I know Tieria's been trying to match his identity with his goals for the whole series, and that merging with Veda means he'd finally be able to accept his status as an Innovade, but I fear for the humanity and friendships he's found. It's probably due to human nature that we want our favorite characters to be uniquely, ultimately human-like-us, instead of alien or apparently inapproachable.

4. Setsuna takes Tieria's place in Veda and brings humanity to Instrumentality. = pfft. It's theoretically a "happy ending", but so overwrought...

So the problem with Tieria being anything other than Veda is that he would once again have issues with his identity. As a human, he has very little to really live for, and if he dies, fangirls will burn Sunrise to the ground with flames.
