Title: Best Dumb Friend Your Eyes Have Ever Seen
Rating: PG
Word Count: 4.8k
Summary: Sehun witnesses it all and he thinks his friends are too dense to realize their feelings for each other.
Author's Note: I really love the prompt so the moment I claimed it, I just wrote it right away and tada! Hope everyone likes this!
Sehun eyes his two friends judgingly as they start sharing the popsicle Kyungsoo bought for himself after they went to the convenience store to buy some snacks on their way home.
He looks like a third wheel to be specific.
The way Jongin darts his tongue around the sweet and icy melon-flavored popsicle was way too provocative in Sehun's opinion, but the way Kyungsoo does it was way more distracting and bothersome. Sehun cannot really comprehend what kind of relationship his two friends have, but he can’t deny that they are really truly close. In his opinion, he thinks Jongin might even be closer to Kyungsoo than to him. But he’s not quite the jealous type, so it’s really fine with him.
"You two are so gross," Sehun comments shamelessly, brows furrowing before he rolls his eyes.
Kyungsoo whips his head in his direction, popsicle still in his mouth. He pulls it out with a low moan and lewd squelch. "You want?" he offers the saliva-slicked popsicle to Sehun who immediately cringes and waves his hands to say no.
"That has yours and Jongin's germs, so no. Fucking N.O.!" Sehun scoffs and turns away. He can't believe Kyungsoo just offered him that bacteria-infected popsicle.
"You're so ungrateful. Kyungsoo hyung is just being nice to you because you look like you wanted to try the popsicle too." Jongin pouts, then smiles when he gratefully receives the popsicle from Kyungsoo and sucks on it again, moaning.
"Never in my entire existence will I share a popsicle with you two." Once again, Sehun rolls his eyes. This time, directly at Jongin, but no matter how many times he tries to send a message to Jongin with his eyes, his attempts have all been rendered fruitless; Jongin is indeed stupid.
Stupidly in love.
"Okay," Jongin acquiesced, licking the sweet treat before giving it back to Kyungsoo.
Kyungsoo happily licks on it again and sends Sehun a shining smile.
Another one stupidly in love, he thinks.
Jongin is sprawled on Sehun's bed Saturday afternoon, texting his most favorite hyung in the entire universe, while Sehun is busy doing their pair project in History.
Are you done with rehearsals? -KJI
Yup. You done with your proj? -DKS
Sehun is working on it. He'll be fine without my help. I'm at his place... maybe u shld come. -KJI
Aigoo, help sehun then after you two are done i'll visit. -DKS
:3333 fine... just come over. I'll wait for you :) -KJI
"Jongin, are you done flirting with Kyungsoo hyung?" Sehun rolls his eyes at Jongin, taking a break from working on his laptop at the desk.
Jongin rolls on the bed and sits up, sending Sehun a disapproving glare. “I’m not flirting with Kyungsoo hyung. I’m just inviting him over.”
“He’ll come over?” Sehun twirls his swivel chair to face his best friend who nods in return.
“I thought he has rehearsals?”
“He’s done with it. You know how good Kyungsoo hyung is as an actor. For sure Ryeowook hyung wasn’t too hard on him,” Jongin says, fingers flying on his keypad once more as he texts Kyungsoo again.
Can you buy something to eat? -KJI
Sehun knows Jongin is still talking with Kyungsoo through text so a scoff pours out from his mouth and he crosses his arms. “You know, I think you two are stupid.”
That statement has Jongin knitting his brows at Sehun. “What are you implying?”
A bucket of chicken? Milkshake? -DKS
Jongin’s demeanor quickly changes as he reads Kyungsoo’s reply.
“Sometimes, I feel like I’m not your best friend.” Sehun challenges, a hidden agenda lacing his words.
Yes pls! And strawberry milkshake hyung :* take care! -KJI
Jongin finally keeps his phone in his pocket, arms and legs folding as he directs his gaze at his best friend. “You are my best best best friend, what are you saying?” A pout forms on his lips and Sehun could only sigh in defeat because a pouty Jongin is indeed a clueless Jongin. He learned that the hard way.
“You know what, just help me with this. Your Kyungsoo hyung will arrive sooner than you think.” Sehun shakes his head and returns back to working on his laptop. Jongin gets off the bed and pulls the other chair close to Sehun as they start working on their project together.
“Kyungsoo hyung is here!” Jongin says excitedly once he read Kyungsoo’s message that he was already downstairs. Sehun snaps out of his typing when Jongin dashes out of his room. He shakes his head once again, though he thinks that he really should be getting used to this set-up where Jongin really becomes a different person whenever Kyungsoo is around.
Meanwhile, Jongin hastily walks down the stairs and rushes to the front door, flinging it open excitedly while a huge smile stretches out on his face when he gets face-to-face with Kyungsoo. “Kyungsoo hyung!”
Kyungsoo waves the paper bag full of chicken and milkshake Jongin had requested before stepping inside the house. “Are you two done with the project?”
Jongin takes the paper bag from Kyungsoo and leads him upstairs to Sehun’s room. “Not yet, but we’re getting there.” He opens the door to Sehun’s room. “How’s your rehearsal?”
“Smooth and good.”
Sehun greets Kyungsoo with a tight smile. “Hi, hyung.”
“Hello, Sehun.” Kyungsoo is given a chair by Jongin instantly and he mumbles his thanks before sitting. “Sehun, did Jongin help you or did he just laze around?”
“Hyung, I helped Sehunnie construct some paragraphs and I even suggested what other research we should include on our paper.” Jongin whines like a kid and Sehun gives him an amused look.
“At first he was lazing around, texting you, but he did help at last.” Sehun confirms as he watches Kyungsoo sit beside Jongin, ruffling the latter’s hair.
“Next time you two do a project, I won’t text you.” Kyungsoo chuckles playfully and Jongin pushes his arm a little in retaliation.
“Fine, I won’t slack off again next time,” Jongin promises, and then a smirk tugs the corner of his lips. “if Sehun and I will be partners again.”
“Yes, I’m really going to take note not to accept you as my project partner next time.” Sehun sticks out his tongue at his best friend and merrily laughs when Jongin clings to Kyungsoo’s arm, pouting like there’s no tomorrow.
“Aigoo, you two. Just take a break first and let’s eat.”
“I’m hungry.”
“Me too.”
But while eating, Sehun repeatedly convinces himself that Jongin and Kyungsoo sharing drinks and feeding each other food are considered pretty normal. And yes, there’s excessive indirect kissing happening, but who is he to judge? This is normal.
This is how it all started.
Kyungsoo was Sehun and Jongin’s senior. They met because of Baekhyun, their senior friend who introduced them during one of the theatre club’s major play in school. That time, Kyungsoo was the star actor of the play and Jongin and Sehun were both moved by the senior’s excellence in acting. After the play ended, they immediately went to Baekhyun and asked him about the actor.
Luckily, Baekhyun knows the actor personally and claimed that he’s really good friends with him, so he introduced the two to none other than the most talented Do Kyungsoo.
And that time, Jongin was the most affected between him and Sehun. Once they had gotten back home, Jongin immediately messaged Sehun on Facebook saying, Kyungsoo hyung is so cuutttee :3333
In the following days that come, Jongin and Kyungsoo were already attached at the hip. Most people would say it’s a Capricorn thing.
“I’m graduating soon. I’ll miss it here,” Kyungsoo says, closing his eyes and breathing in the fresh air as they have decided to eat lunch at the rooftop.
Jongin has a sad expression marring his face and Sehun knows the meaning behind that look his best friend just pulled.
“What are you going to take in college, hyung?” Sehun asks, nibbling on his chocolate chip.
“Film,” Kyungsoo says with an excited smile while Jongin remains silent at the side, munching on his sandwich to distract himself.
“Why film?” Sehun interrogates on Jongin’s behalf.
Kyungsoo straightens his legs on the cemented floor, both arms propping himself up as he looks at the moving clouds up in the sky. “I want to be a film director someday. Direct movies, theatre plays, make Indie films.”
“Sounds exciting to me.” Sehun acquiesced. “Right, Jongin?”
Jongin doesn’t meet their eyes, but he nods a little nonetheless.
“So which university are you aiming for?”
Kyungsoo bites his lower lip as he hums in thought, before looking back at Sehun to provide an answer. “Seoul Arts University.”
Sehun takes a glance at Jongin and smiles broadly.
It’s the first Friday of the month and the three friends were at a small convenience store downtown. The weather is chilly so they have decided to stop by to eat a cup of ramen first.
Settling down in a table for four near the beverage section of the store, the three are busy feeding themselves with hot noodles and broth to keep their bodies warm.
“I really dislike winter.” Sehun sips loudly on his broth and hastily gets some tissues from the counter to wipe his lips before giving Kyungsoo and Jongin some tissues too. But as he goes back to the table, he sees how the two exchange their cups of ramen and indulge themselves with the different flavours they ordered.
Sehun coughs a little as he sits and resumes slurping up his food instead.
“I’ll just buy water.” Kyungsoo gets up, but Jongin tugs at the end of his jacket.
“Buy the big one, hyung. I’ll pay the half of it.” Jongin offers and Kyungsoo doesn’t even blink an eye to refuse, so he makes his way to get a bottle of water and moves to the counter to pay.
While Kyungsoo’s gone, Sehun nudges Jongin’s shin with his foot before leaning in. “Haven’t you realized that you two are going to have an indirect kiss with just that one bottle of water?”
Jongin pulls out a pout before scowling at his best friend. “You’re making a big deal out of it. There’s nothing wrong with it, Sehunnie.” But a blush is obviously paving its way on Jongin’s cheeks.
Sehun sighs and leans back on his seat. “You’re a lost cause.”
Kyungsoo comes back with 2 liters of bottled water.
“Want to share too, Sehun?” Kyungsoo removes the seal of the bottle, twists the cap and lifts the opening to his lips to take gulps of the liquid.
Sehun watches Kyungsoo offer the bottle towards Jongin and a smirk makes its way on his lips. “I’ll just get a can of soda.” He gets up to leave, but not missing how Jongin’s lips touch the opening of the water bottle.
Seriously, Sehun really wants to make his two friends kiss already.
Winter break is slowly approaching, but they still have to face the final verdict of the semester’s grades before they can finally break out from the chains of anxiety.
“Hyung, what if I fail Math?” Jongin holds onto Kyungsoo’s arm as they make their way to his classroom. Sehun has his hands in his pockets, watching the two closely.
Kyungsoo turns to Jongin and settles his hands on his shoulders. “Jongin, you studied hard during the finals right? I was there with you and I even taught you some techniques. You even told me that I was able to help you, so I think you really shouldn’t fret that much, I know you will pass it. Believe in yourself.”
Jongin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. As he cracks open his eyes, his worrywart self has finally been replaced with positivity that only Kyungsoo can pull out of him.
Sehun deeply understands the magic Kyungsoo has for Jongin. How effective his words and presence is during desperate times like this. Sehun is the best friend but admittedly, he can’t even make Jongin feel at ease that easily.
“I feel better now, hyung.” Jongin grins and his gaze at Kyungsoo exudes a feeling not trivial, something reserved only for the older male, something special.
Sehun breaks in between them and ruffles Jongin’s hair just to ruin their moment. “You’ll fail.” Then he walks ahead to the classroom, cackling from mirth, but not missing Jongin’s whine of, “Kyungsoo hyung, Sehunnie is being mean!”
Jongin doesn’t fail his Math.
It’s Sunday, one of the days where Jongin openly sprawls himself on Sehun’s bed, hugging a pillow and being pouty like a five-year old.
Sehun is playing his weekly video game, the obnoxious sound of gun firing and static fills the background when Jongin speaks. “I think I’m gay.”
The game is soon paused and Sehun isn’t surprised anymore because of the revelation from his best friend. “I think so too.” A smirk is displayed on his face rendering Jongin speechless.
“You knew?!” comes Jongin’s flabbergasted response after immediately sitting up.
Sehun puts down his joystick and crosses his arms as he faces his best dumb friend sternly.
He hums in reply. “I’ve been telling you for awhile now how deeply you are into Kyungsoo hyung.”
“Fuck!” Jongin screeches. “Why didn’t you tell me directly, dude? I thought you were my best friend!”
Sehun only rolls his eyes from the overreaction coming from Jongin. “Excuse me? I’ve been giving you hints, dude. Don’t you even realize how many times you two had an indirect kiss sharing a sandwich, feeding each other with your spoons, sharing drinks, sharing a bottle of water, and damn it, even a popsicle where both of your salivas were mixed.”
“Holy shit!” Jongin enunciates slowly, mouth hanging wide open.
“Really, holy shit!” Sehun repeats carefully in a heavily accented tone.
Jongin briskly scrambles next to Sehun and shakes his shoulders. “What the fuck should I do?”
Sehun scrunches up his face and removes his best friend’s hands off his shoulders. “Dude, you should know by now what to do. One word, confess.”
“Confess?” Jongin sounds panicky. He combs his hair through his fingers in frustration. “But-“
“Just tell him! If he accepts, good for you, if not, then maybe next time?” Sehun raises a brow, until Jongin throws his head on Sehun’s lap while sulking.
“Jongin, shit! Get your head off from my lap!” Sehun shoos Jongin away and his best friend bristles with a sad look in his eyes.
“I’m just gonna die.” He slurs.
“Okay,” Sehun sighs in defeat, scratches the side of his cheek with his forefinger before staring at Jongin fixedly. Then he brings both his hands down on Jongin’s shoulders. “Maybe this would help, but seriously, would you rather live in regret not telling the truth to Kyungsoo hyung or live a life with you knowing what he thinks about you?”
“Of course I want to know what he thinks,” Jongin says quietly.
Sehun smiles in relief and pats his best friend’s shoulders. “So confess, whether he rejects you or not.”
“Do you think he will reject me?”
Sehun retrieves the joystick from the floor and turns back to his game, shrugging. “I can’t tell, so just confess.”
Though deep inside, he already knows what the outcome of this story will be.
It’s the last day of school and winter break starts the next day. Snow is falling on the pavement, but that doesn’t hinder the three friends from going out and having a friendly movie date after their classes.
More specifically, Sehun is third-wheeling again.
Just before they enter through the theatre doors, Sehun excuses himself to take a pee first, leaving Jongin and Kyungsoo alone with their bucket of popcorns, drinks and nachos. But once he’s back, he first stops himself from completely exposing himself to the two by hiding behind a wall, watching his best friend and Kyungsoo feed each other with cheese-flavoured popcorn and nachos.
Kyungsoo whips out a hanky from his pocket and meticulously wipes Jongin’s greasy lips with it. But not just that, he also uses the same hanky, the same side he had used to wipe Jongin’s lips, on his own lips as well, before they share the only bottle of water they have again.
Thank god Sehun has his own bottle of water in his bag.
Inside the movie theatre, the seating arrangement goes like this: Sehun, Jongin and then Kyungsoo. Throughout the first hour of the movie, Sehun wasn’t able to taste a single popcorn as his best friend and Kyungsoo are too busy in their own world, sharing thoughts and speculations about the movie they’re watching.
To Sehun, the supposed friendly date is practically like an official date already between Jongin and Kyungsoo. God, just when does Jongin plan to confess?
So far, Sehun wasn’t able to concentrate on the movie and if he is to be honest, he doesn’t know what’s happening anymore as he’s too occupied with listening to Jongin and Kyungsoo’s conversation instead.
“I think the father will die,” Jongin guesses, eyes glued on the big screen while munching on the popcorn in the almost empty bucket.
“Nah, I think his child will die,” Kyungsoo counters, putting his hand inside the popcorn bucket, reaching for more. Sehun is quite sure these two are feeling up each other’s hands inside that popcorn bucket.
“Why did we even watch this? It’s tragic.” Jongin sports a pout and sucks on his greasy thumb and finger now covered in cheese powder.
“I love Jo Jungsuk. He’s one of my favourite actors besides Jo Insung so I really really wanted to see this movie.”
“Do you love tragedy?”
“I watch any genres.”
“I’m more handsome than Jo Jungsuk and Jo Insung, right?”
“Huh?” Kyungsoo chuckles softly and Jongin hangs his head low. “But, I think they’re more handsome than you.”
“I see...” Jongin mumbles and Sehun detects an ounce of jealousy and sadness from his tone.
Kyungsoo chuckles again. “You’re good looking too, so don’t be sad.”
But Jongin doesn’t respond anymore as jealousy is obviously surfacing within him.
Sehun can only muffle his laughter by biting on his lower lip as he goes back to try comprehending the movie’s story.
Three days after their movie hangout, they meet once again at a local coffee shop.
“Funny how you can stomach the smell of coffee whenever we are meeting Kyungsoo hyung here.”
Sehun crosses his arms as he leans into his plush seat across his best friend. It’s a well known fact how Jongin abhors the smell of coffee and most of all, its taste.
“Because we’re talking about Kyungsoo hyung here. He likes coffee and I respect that,” Jongin explains defensively, lower lip jutting out as he fumbles on his phone, texting Kyungsoo, obviously.
“But when it’s someone else, you easily get disgusted. Tsk.” Sehun scoffs and then sits up straight this time.
“I like him. That’s enough explanation.” Jongin smiles at his phone and keys in his reply.
“When do you plan to confess?” Sehun leans in closely and Jongin peers up at him through his bangs, laying down his phone on the wooden table for awhile.
“About that,” Jongin swipes his dry lips with his tongue before continuing, “I plan to do it today.”
“Today? When I’m here?” Sehun’s replies incredulously, eyes flicking around the place to see if Kyungsoo already arrived.
Jongin nods firmly and Sehun almost gets up from his seat, ready to leave, but Jongin grabs his arm and pulls him back to his seat. “You’re not leaving me alone here.”
“Bro, you’re going to confess, I can’t be here!”
“I don’t care. So what if you see me confessing or getting rejected? I don’t care. You’ve already witnessed everything and you can’t just miss this.”
“Jongin, you’re confessing. I can’t be here. What if he says yes and you two kiss? I’ll watch you two then?”
“Just be here,” Jongin is almost pleading now. “Please. I think I won’t be able to tell him my feelings alone. I need your moral support, you stay right there at your seat-“
Sehun cuts him off because he doesn’t agree with this. “Okay, okay, hold on. How about we do this instead,” a smile is plastered on his face as he lays down his proposition to Jongin.
The snow continues to fall outside.
Sipping his bubble tea, Sehun watches Kyungsoo push the straw of his strawberry milkshake to Jongin’s lips, the latter gladly accepting and sipping on the straw that just came from Kyungsoo’s mouth. Apparently, Kyungsoo didn’t order coffee like he used to, which was a major surprise to Jongin and Sehun, but they didn’t question the older male.
“Sweet isn’t it?” Kyungsoo asks and then dabs his hanky on Jongin’s lips before dabbing it on his own after taking a sip of his sugary drink.
“Do you want to have a taste of my vanilla milkshake too?” comes Jongin’s shy inquisition, but Kyungsoo doesn’t reject it and Jongin brings the straw to Kyungsoo’s parting lips. His adam’s apple bobs at his every sip and Jongin is obviously staring.
Sehun wants to laugh so hard. His best friend is so fucking in love with Kyungsoo and he can’t wait anymore for them to finally grow some balls and make it official.
“I’m going to the bathroom.” Sehun straightens up, leaving his empty drink on the table before walking away from the table.
He can’t hold his pee anymore. He rushes to a bathroom stall.
Perfect timing.
Jongin’s heart is beating too fast. As fast as a lightning bolt, faster than an F1 race car, faster than whatever can run fast. He’s now alone with Kyungsoo who feeds him with bits of oreo cheesecake. Take note, they’ve been using one spoon as they eat and as Jongin recalls the exact words Sehun had told him before, about the amount of indirect kisses he and Kyungsoo has accumulated via sharing food and drinks, Jongin feels like he’ll faint right there and then. What they’ve been doing is actually not good for his emotional health.
But, deep inside, he totally likes it.
“What do you plan to do this Christmas?” the older male asks, wiping off the crumbs on the side of Jongin’s lips.
Jongin feels warm all over. “My family and I are going out of town to celebrate it. How about you, hyung?”
“Ah, so we’re not going to see each other then? Too bad. I’ll just be at home by that time.” he lets out a disconcerting sigh, but easily pulls up a smile afterwards. “I’ll just give you my Christmas gift early.”
“Hyung?” Jongin can’t think straight anymore. He stares directly at Kyungsoo’s eyes and wills out the remaining confidence and bravery he has in himself. “Can you grant me my Christmas wish now instead?”
Kyungsoo’s face contorts with a trace of wonder and confusion. “Wish? Are you telling me to give you your Christmas gift already?”
“I have one wish,” Jongin is really damn bad when it comes to things like this. Words always do betray him and he berates himself for not knowing how he’ll be able to say the words.
“Okay, maybe I can help?” Kyungsoo blinks casually, clueless.
“I know I’m not good with words, but-“ he trails off, swallowing the lump from his throat first before flicking his eyes right back at Kyungsoo’s expectant ones.
“Yeah?” The older male urges him to continue.
“Okay, the truth is, this is not a wish,” Jongin clarifies, pinching his thighs with his thumb discreetly under the table.
Kyungsoo chuckles from Jongin’s absurdity, but ruffles the younger male’s fluffy hair.
“You’re confusing me. Okay, so what is it that you really want to say?”
The jazz music fills their ears for a moment, before Jongin soon speaks what he has kept in his heart all these time out clearly. “I like you like how my father likes my mom.”
Kyungsoo blinks rapidly at Jongin, eyes almost bulging out from their sockets. “Like? As in, like how a boy likes a girl and how a girl likes a boy?”
“Hyung, boys like boys like girls like girls too.” Jongin feels scared all of a sudden, his eyes roam around looking for Sehun, because he might decide to run away right now and might never want to show his face ever again in front of Kyungsoo.
A small laughter slips out from Kyungsoo’s mouth and Jongin takes it as a sign that the other took his confession lightly, maybe as a joke.
He feels the bitter taste of rejection. Probably even more bitter than a strong cup of coffee.
Sehun returns to the table. He hadn’t just peed, he did take a dump too from the unexpected upset stomach. But he’s perfectly okay now, and he’s expecting that Jongin and Kyungsoo have finally taken the next step in their budding relationship.
However, what he sees is the opposite of his expectation, Jongin has a dejected look on his face, while Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo just looks the same. He can’t fathom what has just happened from when he left to give the pair some time alone for the confession.
“Finally, you’re back.” Kyungsoo beams, lips stretching out to the shape of a heart. Sehun clearly sees the movement under the table as Jongin too looks up at Kyungsoo in utmost surprise. Not long after, two interlocked hands settle on the table right in between their empty drinks.
“Hyung, what are you doing?” Jongin asks carefully, still looking so tensed.
Kyungsoo firmly stares at Sehun and says, “I might not be completely gay, or maybe I’m just a bi, but whatever this is, I know I’m gay for Jongin only and I seriously want to take him on dates.”
“H-Hyung...” Jongin rasps out, cheeks already the color of fine, freshly picked apples .
“Can I have your blessing, Sehun?”
And just like that, at the end of the day, Sehun walks right behind the new couple who are now sharing each other’s flavoured chapsticks, even exchanging kisses right then and there when no one’s around.
But Sehun witnesses them all and he is happy for his dumb best friend, no matter how gross they are acting right now, more so than even before.
FINAL
It’s February 21st and it’s the day of the first show that Kyungsoo is starring in.
Sehun and Jongin occupies the front seats as Kyungsoo has reserved them two of the VIP seats. A lot of students have came to watch the major play of the Theater Club. It was a full house and Jongin can’t wait to see his boyfriend act on stage, though, some part of him also feels tense as well.
For this play, Kyungsoo is a retired soldier who finds romance in a day care center where he has applied to be a bodyguard. It’s an interesting story, but it’s also romance, meaning, there will be some girl partnered up with his Kyungsoo, doing skinship and whatnot for everyone to see.
Kyungsoo already did reassure him that it’s just an act, that they’re just doing their parts professionally, but a part of Jongin screams in agony at just the mere thought of Kyungsoo gazing lovingly at some person who isn’t him. The thought already pricks him painfully in his chest.
Sehun laughs right beside him. “Just chill. You’re the boyfriend and the actress is just a nobody to him.”
“What if Ryeowook hyung changes something on the script and he makes them kiss?” Jongin fiddles with his fingers nervously, biting the insides of his cheek.
Sehun presses his palm on his shoulder for comfort, smiling. “Think about this, what they will have on stage is nothing compared to what you and Kyungsoo have off stage. You’re his everything and all you have to do is support him right now and cheer for the success of his play.”
Jongin has a kicked puppy look in his eyes. “I’m such a baby.”
“Good thing you know.” Sehun teases and Jongin lightly punches his best friend’s arm when the red curtains drawn, marching tempo starting to play in the background. The spotlight is directed at the middle of the stage where a troop of soldiers are standing. In the middle, Kyungsoo steps forward and starts his monologue.
Jongin’s eyes only follow Kyungsoo from then on; he can’t take his gaze away from him for the rest of the play.
“He’s so good, I’m falling even deeper in love,” he says at the part where Kyungsoo was now working in a daycare center, dressed pristinely.
“You’re so gay.” Sehun cuts in, but Jongin only smiles at the remark.
“I am. I love him.”
But as the story progresses, Jongin clenches his fists against his thighs at the part where Kyungsoo and the actress shares a spoon as they feed each other with ice cream. Instead of bitching about it and making a scene, Jongin takes in deep breaths and chants to himself that this is just pure acting.
Sehun laughs and claps like a seal beside him.
