It was a quiet and pleasant morning, as the sun shone brightly over the building of EXO corp.

People would usually be up and awake, trying to be productive on this fine day.

But well, that probably doesn’t apply to everybody.

Oh Jongin...

Jongin!

Jongin!

Jongin!

“JONGIN! FREAKING GET UP YOU LAZY ASS!”

The addressed male startles awake and sits up straight as a lamppost, unknowing of the drool he dispensed on his work table. He probably didn’t know Zitao was recording footage of him rutting against his table either.

“WHAT THE ACTUAL SPACE BROWNIES WERE YOU DOING!?”

Kris Wu, the boss of this here joint, fumed at the accused.

“WERE YOU RUTTING AGAINST THE WORK TABLE? IS THIS SOME KIND OF SICK KINK YOU HAVE? COULD YOU MAYBE DO IT AT SOME OTHER TABLE OUTSIDE MY OFFICE? For the love of South Korea...”

“No! I just... it wasn’t... I don’t... ugh.”

Kim Jongin tiredly rubs at his face.

Stalking Kyungsoo’s Instagram photos last night definitely wasn’t a good idea. He unfortunately got carried away, and even more unfortunately, came across a picture of the older male at the beach.

He was wearing swim shorts that fit a little too snugly at the rear, and Jongin spent a good half hour memorizing the image for uh... future purposes.

“Don’t be so hard on him, Yifan ge,” Zitao snickers. “It’s already bad enough he’s got raisins for balls.”

“Hey!” Jongin pouts like the kicked puppy he is. “I got those from my mother!”

“Well, at least now I know who to blame,” Kris shakes his head. “She should at least feel a little responsible for your ... accident today.”

“Could you please not call it that?” Jongin groans. It’s too early for this.

“Right, moving on-stop sleeping and harassing my office property. I’m not paying you to rut against my table. Please do it on your own free time, and preferably at your own house. Finish the numbers on our sales this week. I need it by the end of the day, got that?”

“Yeah, got it. Sorry.”

“Sure. And Jongin?”

“Yeah, Kris hyung?”

“It wouldn’t hurt to ask him out,” Kris gives him a knowing smirk, and Zitao just laughs while slapping his knee.

Jongin throws a crumpled piece of paper at the laughing hyena, trying not to acknowledge the pinch in his heart.

It’s not his fault that Kyungsoo’s so perfect.

It’s hard not to be speechless in front of someone so beautiful.

---

“...I’m so sorry, we’re out of stock for this month. It was a best-seller as soon as it came out, yes. But don’t worry, I’ll reserve you one as soon as we get more. No problem, Mrs. Young. Alright, have a great day.”

Kyungsoo puts down his phone and pulls up the list of reservations for next month. He writes down Mrs. Young’s name in his neat handwriting, and places it back in its folder. Then he turns to the computer monitor to resume his inventory checking.

Just then, Baekhyun bursts through the door.

“HELLO WORLD! BYUN BAEKHYUN HAS ARRIVED!”

As if he wasn’t 2 hours late to work.

Every. Single. Day.

Kris considered it a mental disorder for Baekhyun not to understand the concept of “being on time” . The loud male always insisted on coming to the office “fashionably late, because eyeliners are a work of art nobody else understands.”

Kris told him countless times to stop being a narcissist, but to no avail.

So Kris deemed Baekhyun to be intellectually challenged. However, he couldn’t fire him because Kyungsoo only wanted to work here because of Baekhyun.

And Kyungsoo was their best sales agent.

In just a month, he attracted more mothers than a new born baby. Considering that this company mainly caters to moms, with their convenient house cleaning electrics and furniture, that’s a pretty big deal. They couldn’t lose Kyungsoo. Thus Kris puts up with the likes of Byun Baekhyun, much to his chagrin.

“Morning, Baek.” Kyungsoo smiles at his best friend since preschool.

“Morning BabySoo!” Baekhyun squishes him in a hug, because Kyungsoo is a fluffy marshmallow.

Being a shy kid back then, Kyungsoo heavily relied on Baekhyun’s social prowess over the years, until he too learned to find his own voice. Baekhyun was prouder than any best friend out there.

“Hmm... you’re wearing your lucky eyeliner today,” Kyungsoo notes. “Let me guess... Chanyeol?”

“That’s right!” Baekhyun positively squeals.

“He’s taking me out for lunch during break, so I have to look more fabulous than usual. I’ve worked too hard for this. You have no idea how many times I had to wink at him yesterday.

At first he thought my eye was twitching and offered to bring me to Yixing’s clinic. But eventually he got the message when I pushed him down on the photocopier and kissed him senseless. Gosh, he’s so stupid it’s adorable.”

“That’s great! You were very... uhh... enthusiastic.”

“Thanks Kyungie-poo. What about you?”

“What about me?”

“You know, the shy guy from the audit department who has a crush on you? I think his name was Kim Jognog or something. Kim Jignog? Eggnog? Whatever his name was, hasn’t he asked you out yet?”

“Hmm?” Kyungsoo looked genuinely confused. “Are you talking about Jongin?”

Kyungsoo recalls the tanned male he often talks to when the audit and sales teams have to collaborate or share data. The kid stares at him half the time they’re talking, offers to open doors for him, and always seems to be blushing. Jongin also cannot talk to Kyungsoo without stuttering at least once, and after a brief exchange of info, immediately quiets down and keeps to himself.

But although Jongin’s pretty shy, he has confidence whenever he reports in front. His demeanor instantly changes, and he is no longer a bashful co-worker, but the best presenter in the audit team whose numbers have always been precise and accurate.

Kyungsoo sort of admires him for that.

Kyungsoo may also just think he’s sort of cute.

“I don’t know, Baek. Are you sure you aren’t just jumping to conclusions?”

“Puh-lease, his crush on you is as obvious as Kris’ lack of authority.”

“O...kay.”

“He’s just too shy to talk to you. But I’m pretty sure with the right kind of motivation, he’ll be bending you over the nearest flat surface in no time!” Baekhyun says a little too loudly, and some girls in the sales department snicker audibly.

Kyungsoo proceeds to hide his head under a stack of papers, but his blush can still be seen trailing down his nape.

And this is one disadvantage of being friends with Byun Baekhyun: (READ) he has no shame. He probably doesn’t even know the meaning of the word.

---

During lunch break, Jongin, Zitao and Jongdae head out of the building.

The three of them frequently have lunch together, despite Jongdae being from a different department. Jongin and Zitao are from Audit, while Jongdae’s from Human Resources. They met together during orientation period and have stuck together ever since.

They aren’t too far from the building when Jongdae taps on Jongin’s shoulder to point at something.

Jongin’s eyes land on soft silky black hair, narrow shoulders, petite height and he just knows there are wide eyes on this wonderful creature. Not to mention that bum. Wow. Just... it looks so soft and full-

“Dude! Dude, you’re salivating!” Zitao shrieks, clutching his Gucci handbag near himself before Jongin’s offending drool gets on it.

Jongdae cackles so loudly, the general public turns to stare at the commotion.

Jongin wakes up from his reverie, and mauls his face in utter shame because he did it again! Why was he like this when it came to Kyungsoo? He’s not some kind of newly pubertized teen-he’s 25 for goodness’ sakes! He should already be past the stage of popping hard-ons in front of his crush. At this, his little dong gives a twitch in disagreement, and he wants to seriously castrate himself sometimes. Dumb dick.

“Oh! Hi guys!”

Among all the fuss, Kyungsoo noticed them and decided to approach them.

He smiles at them with that heart-shaped smile, and now they know why he’s their best sales agent.

Who on earth can resist such a heaven-sent little angel?

“Umm... Jongin, I think you got something... over there,” Kyungsoo points at his chin, and Jongin remembers he hasn’t wiped his drool off yet.

The tanned male blushes beet red, and furiously wipes at his chin with his sleeve.

This is so embarrassing. He needs to go hide in a cave.

So he does the next best thing: he runs back to the office building.

In his haste and self-loathing, he fails to register Kyungsoo calling out for him.

---

Ever since the dark incident of shame which shall not be named, as Jongin has taken to calling it, he has been avoiding Kyungsoo like the plague. Two weeks has passed and he’s doing a pretty impressive job. Well it’s relatively easy since the audit department is on the other side of the building.

What’s unimpressive is the amount of times he’s sat idle at his work place just wishing he could see Kyungsoo again.

Ugh... I want to see him... But I might do something stupid again...I can’t survive like this.

Zitao offers help by taking Jongin to Yixing’s clinic.

Yixing runs a diagnosis and finds a severe case of unmanliness.

He suggests the intake of certain drugs to increase testosterone.

The tanned male just cries like a 4 year old.

---

Another week later and Jongin can’t take it anymore.

His inner Kyungsoo fan boy is dying at the lack of contact with the petite male. Anymore and he’ll go insane. So Jongin finally decides he would sneak a glance, a teeny tiny glance, for the sake of his own health.

He briskly makes his way to the sales department, ignoring the way Zitao rolls his eyes so far back it’ll get stuck like that.

As he arrives at his destination, he hides behind a potted plant and peeks at Kyungsoo.

The small male is hunched over his desk, tongue sticking out in concentration, while he writes down various notes on the recent market trends. His cute glasses keep slipping down
his nose bridge, and he has to periodically push it up.

It’s endearing really.

Jongin’s thinks he’s fallen all over again.

When Jongin’s inner fan boy is done cooing at the sight, he feels like a revitalized plant ready to go into a series of photosynthesis. This was a good idea. He feels so recharged. Kyungsoo is definitely his sunshine.

Jongin was now ready to get back to work.

That was, until he saw an unfamiliar figure.

An unfamiliar figure walking towards his Kyungsoo.

Said unidentified object was tall, pale, and had platinum blonde hair.

The guy’s face looked like it belonged to an ulzzang magazine or something.

Who was this guy? Jongin’s never seen him around the office before.

Mr. Blondie slowly sneaks up on the unsuspecting Kyungsoo and does the unspeakable.

He tickles the older male, causing Kyungsoo to burst out in a fit of suppressed laughter.

“Sehun! That’s you, isn’t it?” Kyungsoo turns around on his chair, and graces this mysterious being with his angelic smile.

“Sorry hyung, but you looked so into your work. Lighten up. Here, I got you a drink from the Beanery,” Mr. Blondie replies while raising a cup of caramel macchiato.

And the most horrendous but adorable thing happens.

Kyungsoo breaks into a smile and pats Sehun on the head like a pet, to which he has to tip toe to actually reach the tall intern. The latter blushes a bit, obviously enjoying the attention.

Jongin can’t believe this.

Some guy is getting all physical with his Kyungsoo, and Jongin is helplessly hiding behind a plant, not knowing what to do.

“Thanks Sehun-ah. You’re such a great help,” Kyungsoo takes the cup and places it on his desk.

“Any time hyung. I’m your intern after all. I want to look after you as much you look after me,” Sehun smiles.

Jongin internally vomits.

“Just for that, I’ll take you out to that Bubble Tea place across the office. We can go after work, my treat.” Kyungsoo smiles right back.

Sehun thanks and bows to the short male profusely.

From behind the potted plant, for the first time in his 25 years of existence, Jongin is boiling with rage.

And from behind another potted plant, an eyeliner-wearing male saw the entire scene.

---

“Just who does that guy think he is?”

“What guy?”

“How could he do that to Kyungsoo hyung!?”

“What did he do?”

“He thinks just ‘cause he’s kinda handsome, and kinda tall, and kinda ... everything I’m not, he can just get all of hyung’s attention!?”

“Okay, you lost me there. What are we talking about again?”

Kris held a meeting with the audit department an hour ago and it just finished.

So now, Jongin is taking the liberty to rant on and on about his new rival.

Only Kris knows nothing about this and is utterly baffled that Jongin, raisins-for-balls Jongin, actually sounds like he’s ready to rip someone’s testicles out and shove it down their throats.

“He’s just talking about that new intern in the sales department,” Zitao helpfully supplies.

“Ah, thank you. Now I get it,” Kris nods in understanding, while stroking his imaginary beard.

“I asked Jongdae to scout some new blood for the sales team last week. He happened to come across Oh Sehun. The kid graduated top 5 in his class and has quite the fresh face. I put him under Kyungsoo’s supervision so he could learn from our best agent.

After all, mothers can’t resist good looking young men, and with Sehun on the team, I predict at least 20% increase with an additional bonus market of teenage girls.”

Hearing this, Jongin lunges at Kris while snarling like a rabid dog.

“IT WAS YOU!” Okay, now he’s foaming at the mouth. Gross.

“Umm, Tao? I could use some help here...” Kris is pinned to the ground, and Jongin’s got this crazed look in his eyes.

“Okay, coming. Just hold on a second.” Zitao snaps a few shots on his phone for blackmail material, and helps get Jongin off their boss.

It proves to be a difficult feat, and they ask help from the security guards.

Jongin is brought to Yixing’s clinic for the second time.

Yixing’s new diagnosis shows an incredible increase in masculinity, rage and slight psychosis.

The Chinese nurse raises a brow at this and asks Zitao for the whole story.

By the end of it, Jongin was diagnosed with a case of the jealousy.

A very serious case at that.

---

“Well now that you got some fire in your belly, it’s time to stake your claim before ulzzang boy gets to Kyungsoo first!” Jongdae comments when he hears about everything over lunch break.

Since the initial rage has died down, Jongin is back to being his shy self.

Except every time the subject is mentioned, he slightly snarls and growls at some point in the conversation.

“I know... but how am I supposed to do that?” Jongin dejectedly wonders. He has zero experience with these kinds of things.

“You could start by threatening your opponent?” Zitao suggests amusedly.

“Because it’s only when you’re jealous that you unleash your possessive instinct. Most of the time, you think too much and that’s why you’re scared or shy about approaching Kyungsoo. So why don’t you eliminate the competition first? Things would be a lot easier without Sehun-”

At the sound of the intern’s name, Jongin growls and karate chops their table in half out of nowhere.

The three employees stare blankly at the broken wood, sliced perfectly in half down the middle.

As much as Jongin is amazed by his hidden strength, Kris is gonna flip once he finds out Jongin harassed another one of his tables.

---

When Friday came around, Jongin cornered Sehun in the supply room while the intern was getting some equipment.

He doesn’t really know how to threaten people, but just looking at Sehun makes him want to plunder villages and steal candy from children.

Zitao and Jongdae watch the whole interaction from a small opening at the door.

“Hey, you.”

“Who, me?”

“Yeah. You seem like a new face.”

“Ah yes, I’m an intern at the sales division. I work under the guidance of Do Kyungsoo. My name is Oh Sehun.”

“Oh, is that so?” Jongin scoffs. “Sounds like a dumb name.”

Sehun shoots him an unimpressed look. His poker face really is as remarkable as the rumors say.

“Excuse me sir, but did you seriously ask for my name just so you could insult it?”

Jongin scoffs again.

He digs his hands into his pockets, and sighs loudly as if it’s such an effort to explain the totally obvious.

“Nonsense, child. I didn’t just want to insult you-that would be stupid. I also wanted to warn you.”

Jongin squares his shoulders and tries to look intimidating.

As intimidating as a 25 year-old who still sleeps with a Pororo plushie allows him to be.

“Let’s get one thing straight here Sehun-ssi. Don’t be so cozy with my Kyungsoo hyung, got it? Just so you know, he’s mine. Protecting my territory is all, nothing personal. Keep it in mind, would you? And I’m sure we’ll be great friends.”

Sehun rolls his eyes at the threat.

Jongin’s left eye twitches at the nonchalant gesture.

“Well mister, first of all, I clearly don’t want to be friends with someone as immature and childish as you.”

“Hey! I’ll have you know I have loads of friends! ...Sort of... okay, not really.”

“And secondly, I’ve only been working here for a week, but Kyungsoo hyung’s already pretty fond of me. He told me I’m the best intern he’s ever worked with.”

A faint blush appears on Sehun’s cheeks, yet he keeps his poker face on like a proud kid who just told the class his crush liked him back. He’s darn proud alright.

However, Jongin practically laughs like a maniac after the younger’s statement.

He laughs so loudly, so obnoxiously and so over dramatically, that those sitting in the nearby cubicles outside the supply room can hear it. He even spasms periodically, laughing for a solid 5 minutes complete with wheezing at the end, and wipes away an imaginary tear.

Zitao and Jongdae just facepalm.

“HAHAHA, SO YOUNG AND SO TALENTED! WHEN IS YOUR NEXT GIG AT THE COMEDY BAR? I SHALL TIP YOU WELL YOUNG GRASSHOPPER. THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE.”

Sehun frowns at the dismissal of his claim.

“But it’s true. Kyungsoo hyung likes me a lot. He says he really enjoys having me around. He even lets me sit on his office chair once in a while whenever I want to spin on it.”

Jongin chuckles haughtily. This poor poor child thinks Kyungsoo likes him. The naivety and audacity of some people.

“Don’t misunderstand his charity-Kyungsoo hyung is a naturally kind person. Also, I’ve sat and spun on his chair A BAJILLION TIMES (after working hours). Multiplied to the nth exponent even.”

“Sir, I’m afraid that’s not an actual numeric value.”

“HUSH I’M FROM THE AUDIT DEPARTMENT, I THINK I KNOW MY NUMBERS.”

“... Right, sure you do.”

“Don’t think highly of yourself, kid. Kyungsoo hyung’s just being nice to you because it’s his job.”

Momentarily, a look of vulnerability flashed in Sehun’s eyes.

But it was gone as soon as it came, and he had a stoic expression once again.

If not a much angrier one.

“Well at least I’m not some undeveloped fetus who’s too scared to ask his crush out. And even worse, starts threatening possible love interests. What are you, eleven? Have you really no shame? I can’t believe I have to work with someone whose testosterone level impedes the production of his neurons. Are you seriously that much of a coward? Or what, are you threatened by me because your manhood is the size of a rice grain?” Sehun is smirking at this point.

“I really have no time for this. Come talk to me when you’ve borrowed an extra pair from your mother. Shouldn’t she feel responsible for the tiny shriveled raisins you grew up with? I can only imagine the infertility and scarceness of your sperm count. Good day to you, Sir.”

And just like that, the intern passes by a gaping Jongin with every confidence of a miss universe pageant winner.

Later, Zitao and Jongdae bring Jongin to Yixng’s clinic for the third time.

They help him apply ice on that burn.

And yet again, this time behind a file cabinet in the supply room, the same eyeliner-wearing male witnesses the scene.

---

Later in the week, Jongin still hasn’t recovered from the deadly blow Sehun dealt him.

It was his first time to step out of his shy shell, and now he just feels scared of Sehun. That kid’s pretty mean. Jongin shivers just remembering the intern’s harsh words. Safe to say, he was traumatized.

Zitao and Jongdae still encourage him to carry on and not lose hope. They say the whole interaction was good entertainment and they look forward to the next face off.

For some reason, that doesn’t really make Jongin feel any better.

Distracted by his thoughts, Jongin doesn’t notice who he bumps into.

“Jongin?”

Jongin startles awake from his thoughts, and sucks in a breath so fast he almost chokes on it.

Kyungsoo was standing in front of him, clad in his usual cute button down and slacks.

“Oh, hyung. H-hi.”

“Oh hey, how are you?... I haven’t seen you since you ran back to the office that one time during lunch break.”

“Ah yeah... I had to... use... the rest room. Real bad.” Nice, Jongin. Smooth like diarrhea.

“Oh. Do you feel better now?”

“Y-yeah! Definitely, m-my bowels are fine! I-if that’s what you were worried about, that is. My bladder’s pretty okay too. Yup, I-I’m feeling quite superb nowadays! Been eating healthy with my leafy greens and all that.”

Jonging laughs awkwardly, because just what in the world am I saying? Embarrassing myself in front of hyung, as always.

But Kyungsoo only giggles at the way Jongin’s being silly, and tries to stop his laughter with a hand on his lips.

Jongin notices though and pouts his usual puppy pout.

“Oh hyung, you’re laughing at me!”

“Sorry, Jongin.” giggles “It’s just you’re acting so funny.”

“Ugh, not you too. First Zitao and Jongdae, then intern boy, and now you!? Why is everyone out to get me!? ”

By this time, Jongin has already sunken to a heap on the floor, curled up in a ball of sulkiness.

Kyungsoo finally stops giggling, and bends down to poke at Jongin who looks like a cute armadillo right now.

“Relax, Jongin. Sorry for laughing, but you were being silly. Anyways, I’m not going to tease you anymore, so don’t worry. How about I make it up to you? ”

At this, Jongin’s ears perk up and he lifts his head from his knees.

“How will you do that?”

“Well, what do you want?”

Jongin doesn’t think twice because his senpai is offering him an opportunity he can’t refuse.

“Let’s go out together after work! For dinner!”

---

Jongin smirks like a million dollar man at the look on Sehun’s face when he exits the office with Kyungsoo next to him. Zitao and Jongdae are cheering him on, while Yifan nods to himself with two thumbs up. Baekhyun just rolls his eyes at the losers he has to work with, but texts Kyungsoo to be careful in case Jongin tries anything funny.

On second thought, he deletes that text and sends something else.

From: Baekkie
To: Kyungsoo

Remember to use protection.

Kyungsoo was scandalized as he read the text in the elevator, and his whole face turned red.

From: BabySoo
To: Fabulous4lifeu Baekhyun

We’re just going out for dinner!!!

From: Baekkie
To: Kyungsoo

That’s what they all say.

By the time the elevator dinged and opened, Kyungsoo was still as bright as a cherry and steam was coming out of his ears. In that short travel down to the ground floor, Baekhyun had briefed Kyungsoo on the best ways to get people into your pants. It was unsolicited advice, Kyungsoo swears.

“Hyung, are you alright?” Jongin asks, voice laced with concern.

He places a hand on Kyungsoo’s forehead, which only makes the elder heat up more.

From where they stand just outside the elevator in the lobby, the lights shine down on Jongin in such a nice way. It highlights his lustrous bronze skin, mocha brown hair, deep hazel irises, sharp jaw line and high cheekbones.

Kyungsoo’s never really had time to properly look at Jongin.

And now that he does, he instantly regrets it.

There are too many beautiful things not to appreciate, and he’s afraid he might end up using the nasty things Baekhyun taught him.

“I-I’m fine. Let’s go.”

---

Kyungsoo takes Jongin to his favorite ramen joint, and he forgets how handsome and a little sexy the latter looked back at the lobby. Why? Because puppy Jongin is back.

Jongin is looking around with curious eyes and barely contained excitement. The tanned male forgets his shyness due to overwhelming happiness, and drags the elder enthusiastically to the closest table so they can order.

Through it all, they chat casually and pleasantly. They learn things about each other, like how Jongin does dance as a hobby and owns three puppies, as well as how Kyungsoo loves to sing and cooks better than his mom. They realize they share similar tastes in music, tv shows, and an appreciation for short silences meant only for themselves.

And suddenly, Jongin isn’t shy anymore.

The more he converses with Kyungsoo like this, comfortably and in their own bubble, the calmer he feels. Being with Kyungsoo is so easy, he doesn’t feel like he’ll embarrass himself-he doesn’t feel like he’ll mess something up.

He feels that possibly, Kyungsoo can come to like him for who he is.

And maybe it’s selfish, but the more Kyungsoo laughs and smiles, the more Jongin wishes that it will always be because of him. He can’t stomach the thought of Kyungsoo ever being this open and happy with anyone else.

As Kyungsoo slurps up a noodle while his glasses slip down his nose, Jongin knows he’s really fallen hard.

He takes the glasses off his hyung, and wipes it with some tissues since the lenses have fogged up due to steam from the ramen.

Then he places it back on his hyung’s eyes, smiling so sincerely and boyishly because he genuinely feels so content like this.

Kyungsoo blushes to the tips of his ears, cheeks still full, and he must look ridiculous right now, but he smiles back at Jongin like a chipmunk.

Somehow, they feel closer than before.

---

The next day, Baekhyun comes barging into the pantry of the audit department during coffee break.

He slams the door open, causing Zitao to drop his coffee in shock.

While the panda grumbles under his breath and trudges back to the coffee machine, Baekhyun looks for his target.

He sees Jongin snoozing lightly above some papers he was probably working on.

But Baekhyun had no time to think about that.

As soon as Zitao returned to the table with his new cup of coffee, Baekhyun snatches it from him and throws the contents at Jongin.

Jongin screeches because the coffee was hot, and then proceeds to moan like a banshee because his precious spreadsheets got wet. Zitao groans because now he had to get coffee again, and Baekhyun just taps his foot impatiently.

“Kim Jongin.” He says with finality.

“What? What is it Baekhyun?” Jongin asks, still a little sleepy and sad because of this abrupt wake up call.

“You didn’t take Kyungie’s v-card?”

“W-what!?” Jongin all but splutters. Now he was definitely awake. “What are you talking about?”

“Well you guys went out for dinner last night. I just thought your bedroom was naturally the next step.”

Jongin blushes at this. Zitao rolls his eyes, because of course Baekhyun would say something like that, but he doesn’t come back to the table because he needs to protect his coffee.

“Well, we aren’t even dating so that wouldn’t make sense-”

“ARE YOU SAYING YOU DON’T LIKE MY BABYSOO’s ASS?”

“What!? NO!! I-I love that ass!”

“Then why aren’t you doing something about it!?”

“Well-we’re just friends-”

“SO YOU WANT TO GIVE THAT BON DIGGITY ASS AWAY? TO AN INTERN, NO LESS?”

Amongst all the nonsense Baekhyun has been spouting, Jongin finally heard something that made sense.

Jongin immediately straightens up. “Wait, are you talking about Sehun?”

“Yeah. Look, I know you don’t like the kid, and I also know he burned your balls and your self-esteem down at the supply room. So I was surprised when you and Kyungie went out for dinner yesterday. I thought you finally manned up, put that intern in his place, and seduced my BabySoo. But then I realize you’re just having dinner, like without any sexual activities for dessert!”

“... Why does Kyungsoo hyung hang out with you again?”

Baekhyun ignores that question. “So Jongin, don’t you see? Not much have changed in mating rituals since the prehistoric era. By not claiming that ass when you had the chance, you are leaving it open for others to take! Sehun’s going to confess to Kyungsoo any second now!”

“WHAT!?”

“They’re alone in the sales division pantry while the others went out for Starbucks, and while I’m here telling you this!”

---

“Hyung, what do you think about me?”

Sehun corners Kyungsoo, the counter of the pantry digging against his back. The small male maybe older, but Sehun’s advantage in height makes it hard to establish some authority.

“Sehun, what-”

“What am I to you, Kyungsoo hyung?”

“You’re my intern and you’re like a dongsaeng to me.”

“Can’t I be more?”

Kyungsoo’s eyes widen at this.

“What- Sehun, I’m sorry. I don’t see you that way.”

“Why? Is it because I’m not good-looking? Is it because I’m younger?”

“No... Sehun, you’re handsome and please don’t think that age has anything to do with this. I just... I think of you as my little dongsaeng, and I like you like that. But to like you in a different way... there’s actually someone else.”

“Who is it!? Is it Jongin!?”

Kyungsoo yelps when Sehun pulls him by the waist, their bodies pressed against each other.
“I don’t know what he did to gain your heart, but I know I can do it better.”

Sehun leans in and Kyungsoo begs him to stop while trying to push him off.

This is the scene Baekhyun and Jongin reach, and Jongin’s jealousy shoots up like a rocket.

There is no freaking way that intern was going to kiss his hyung.

He marches forward, tears Sehun away from Kyungsoo, and lands a punch on the kid’s face that has his nose bleeding and knocks him out cold.

Baekhyun cheers, Jongin huffs, and Kyungsoo just gapes at his intern sprawled unconscious on the ground. He’s going to be in so much trouble.

“J-Jongin! Sehun, he’s-” Kyungsoo tries to say, but Jongin is hearing none of it and pulls the elder by his shirt collar to crash their lips together.

Baekhyun feels like a proud mother.

By the time the couple stop kissing, Kyungsoo looks so dazed and out of it, his glasses askew. But at the same time, he looks beautiful and perfect and Jongin wants to see him like this all the time.

The tanned male hugs Kyungsoo close, and buries his face in the crook of the elder’s neck.

“Kyungsoo hyung, I really like you. Be my boyfriend. Don’t go out with Sehun. His surname is dumb anyways.”

Kyungsoo just chuckles and returns the hug.

“I really like you too, Jongin-ah. Let’s be together.”

“But, umm... before being official boyfriends, do you mind if we date for a while first?” Kyungsoo inquires when they’re done cuddling. “I-it’s a little too fast for me. This is my first relationship after all, so let’s go slow, yeah?” Kyungsoo holds his cheeks, as if it would help contain his blush.

“Oh y-yeah!” Jongin all but blubbers, blushing up to his roots. He’s back to being the shy guy. He also happens to be the luckiest guy in the world right now. “Sure hyung. Anything for you.”

Kyungsoo giggles because that sounds so cheesy.

Baekhyun coos at the two, before dialing Yixing’s number on his smart phone.

“Hey unicorn, come over to the sales pantry. We have one casualty, an intern out cold with a bleeding nose. Huh? Did Jongin do it? How did you know, are you a psychic unicorn now? LOLLLL, Omigash, yasssss, his jealousy is off the roof. Now come over here and dispose of the evidence before Kris finds out.”

And so Yixing takes Sehun’s limp body to the clinic.

Hours later, the intern awakes.

“Ugh... where am I?” Sehun groans as he tries to sit up on the clinic bed. He feels the pain in his nose, and frowns when he remembers everything.

“You, my friend, are at the office clinic to rest up. Unfortunately, I’ve been informed that another casualty has happened at some other part of the building, so I must fly over there for now. In the mean time, I’ve called up a friend to watch over you. He took up med before he became an accountant so don’t worry. Rest well, buddy.” Yixing pats Sehun’s shoulder and then exits the clinic.

Sehun sighs and pouts because he can just imagine that dumb Kim Jongin and Kyungsoo hyung are probably going out by now. There goes his chance at romance.

As his thoughts come to an end, the clinic door opens.

“Hello, you must be Sehun-ssi. Hi, I’m Luhan.”
