(no subject)
My Monday Off:
Yeah, I barely did jack. My internet was actually handling youtube so I pretty much attached myself to the interwebs for most of the afternoon. It was probably working because everyone else was at work. Or who knows, maybe it'll stop sucking. Nah. I also came up with the brilliant idea to work out during Raw, so I could watch it on the tv inside the complex's gym. When I walked in there were four other guys there working out and a girl soon joined. My plan looked like it would fail but I figured maybe I could outlast them if I got the treadmill. And what do you know, I did. At about 8:30 or so I had the gym to myself for the next hour and a half. So I might just do that when I can. It enables me to watch wrestling and its good for me! I didn't cheat either, I was on that damn thing for like 1:25 combined, though I was walking quickly. I know treadmills can be rough on your feet, so I decided not to run. Besides, I was on it long enough.
Other than that, not much else happened today. I attempted to unlock Star Wolf in Smash Bros but hes being a bitch to beat. I just gave up after the fourth try. Yesterday was more eventful. I paid my rent (600 dollars) and went out to apply at some stores for a job. I applied at a family owned pet store across the street that actually has an opening. The guy I was talking to gave off the impression that I had a chance at the job. Apparently its not often a bachelor of science walks through the door. I also left my resume at another pet store and applied to Borders, Gamestop, and Petsmart. I'm not sure the hiring status of any of the others stores, but I think Petsmart might be. The cashier said a couple people got fired. The aquarium has no open positions at the moment (they should hire someone new just to clean the fucking place) and neither does the Canid Rescue. They mentioned who to talk to about volunteer positions, which do not interact with the animals. I left a resume anyway.
So I guess I'm kind of hoping for this pet store job. If not, I'll search some more and start getting desperate!
BTW, I tried another chinese place last night. They were affordable, two egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and entree for just about 7 with tax, but I was not impressed with their General's Chicken. Is there a fricking good chinese place in St. Louis or what! I didn't think General's chicken was hard to fuck up!
