A day at the stables

Turned out better than I had thought. I brought too much salad for one thing and ate too many snackies along with some smoking awesome rootbeer. OMG the steaks grilled on the bbq was soooooooo tender I ate it with my fingers.

I had grilled Zucchini for the first time smothered in olive oil and garlic. Wonderful snack w/ pretzels to add salty flavor. Mmmmmmm. Will have to do this with our zucchini when/if it makes it to growing size.

Then I listen to everyone one talking and talking, laughing about adventures in life or making damn innappropriate comments. Lisa (Kelly's trainer) had me in stitches at her adventures with a friend backpacking across Europe. Swwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeetttttt! She also told a story about how the ladies who were sitting around near the second large pen as Lisa was working Kelly one day. So Kelly likes to slow down at the canter especially near the gate and Lisa was like pushing her into that turn. Kelly starts tokoyo drifting to the fence exactly where the ladies sat. They see this big draft cross coming right at the fence and start wooping at the sight. LIsa swears she almost peed in her pants and told Matt (cute draftx owner) his saddle was almost marked. Excellent.

All in all I am very glad I went to this bbq. Being around people who are not only horse lovers but in general make you feel welcomed really rocks. Can't wait for the next feedorama!
