Well I got most of my list stuff done today! We have several new flowering bushes that require not much water but also look and smell good. :D
Two apple trees grace our property now: Granny Smith and Gala, Original. I do not think we will get Galas but Granny smith definitely. Maybe if I have more space I'll add Pears maybe Peach trees though I did not see any good fruiting vines. :\
I also got one of the automatic timers for watering the back area as well as a sprinkler for the larger space. Better hurry up and grow too as the weeds are returning for sure damn them for growing right where I want to put my blackberries, raspberries and blueberries (pots).
Something came up that had me fussy about it which is having to purchase ollas online. They are expensive! Granted I understand how they will help but damn can't they been just a bit cheaper? Or at least buy two get a slight discount or something. Geesh, anyways I will order them from the place that makes them in various sizes. Just a few to see how it works out but especially because tomatoes, cucumbers, and melons require so much water they would benefit from having always moist soil.
A quick peak into the compost reveals some good soil to use in the garden. While not perfect in any way, it can be spread into the ground then left to sit while the weather warms up more.
