Deliciously satisfying and fulfilling work that toughens the hands and tires you out. I got the fencing I needed along with poles and a post hole thingie to push them down into our cement like ground. Now the back area is sealed off from the chickens. Sunday if I am up for it I will do the same to the garden and front raised bed.
I also put all the branches I cut off from the fruit trees in the front to further dry as I pick out the best ones for using in the garden for stakes. I think I could probably make a rough looking trellis from some smaller branches which would be most excellent for the peas, beans, cucumbers and any other climbing plant.
Mom just told me she saw some green on the grapes so I have to prune them this weekend! Yikes. Spring is tomorrow! So much to do to prepare for the summer's bounty. This year I hope for better stock from the veggies and more flowers to pull in bees, herbs to bring beneficial insects and trap crops to well trap!
