Flu season: avoiding the shot

Sep 19, 2008 22:59

If I had shots for flu there were when I was a kid. As an adult I have never voluntarily let them inject me with the stuff.
So ever since moving to CV I've gotten sick around wintertime with flu or just bad colds. So I resolved this year not only to get more rest, exercise and take my vitamins but to take measures so I would not ever have to be under flu's needles.

Sounds like a good tea to take along with a few other herbs, plenty of juices, rest and get some exercise. Also, I think spending sometime in a spa once a week might also clear the body out. Couldn't hurt now could it?

Mom is also not a friend of the needle and every year the HMO have auto-calls telling her to get her flu shot. She's like "DNW, fuckers!" I'm totally with her, as is my Bro and his GF (she's a natural, herbal type). Wonder how they are going to handle the winter in MD with their new son hm.
