planting notes (quick update)
Motherfucking flying rats! Those fucking blue jays killed all the lettuce. I guess I didn't have it covered well enough but I figured turning the green fencing in would prevent some destruction. Nope. Got under there and took out all of them. Some are just straight flatten and unrecoverable.
I am PISSED. I would really like to not buy any lettuce but can't help that when the flying rats keep killing them! I have more seed but this time everything is getting covered. We have one floating row cover left so perhaps that might be put to some use.
Fucking birds! Eat the bugs not my freaking plants. I'm so going to Big 5 and get a slingshot now.
Right now I chase them off with the old broken broom against the fence. Sends them off screaming angrily. Be lucky birds I don't have a bb gun. Wonder where my brother's paint ball gun is.
