Date Festival: to go or not to go
Well, plans to go to the Date Festival are up in the air because of possible rain and the wind warnings arriving in the afternoon. Granted, that is not a big deal because the truck is heavier than Mom's lawnmower car. However, if it rains whilest we are all the way in Indio the ride back could be...interesting. Rain or shine the show itself will go on. Mom is indifferent, we can go or we don't have too she's just along for the ride.
My moontime just started like this morning but it is not a big deal since even earlier activities lessen the cramps like about 80%. Plus I hit the gym yesterday and included a couple of excerises with abs. That helps as well.
I think I mentioned I sold the Tex Tan flex tree saddle to this lady for $500. That is cool she really likes it as well and it is good enough to both work and be shown in. As a show of trust I have not put the check in yet. Today I will go to my bank and do so but I think it shows you trust people to their word if you don't immediately cash checks. Yeah, I could be screwed, that is a possibility but why not give some people the benefit of the doubt.
This means I'm this much closer to getting ride of that ballards saddle and next month once we have some warm days I will be cleaning Kelly up for her sale pictures. If this guy can do her feet during that Month, I will be happy. Rocky too will be getting shoes next month if I am to put him on some kind regular working schedule. Kelly WILL be working starting next week. I have decided to work her english style but gonna need some books to get a good idea of how to lunge. I want to make sure she's got two weeks of good lunge time under her belt before I slap a cheap looking English saddle on her to take both English and Western pix. I figure two good pictures of her in either saddle on flyers will work locally, online and in Horsetrader and Riding Magazine.
