showers, missing rattles foggy mornings

First off the shower. Icky. I'm not big on cleaning bathrooms so mine is long overdue for one. So there I am prepping it for some scrubbing later on when I noticed something down in the drain. I thought at first it was a big spider or something. Nope. Much worst. Hair. Three years of hair hanging from a twisted threads of you got it, more hair. I had to use the pliers to pull it out which it would not come through the drain cover. Oh joy. Should have taken a picture of what I've been standing over for the last three years.
So I pull out this mass of decayed, soggy, SMELLY hair about 18 inches long thick with goo. Oh yeah, I wanted to vomit in techicolor but instead I tossed it in the trash then threw said trash out. OMFGDS why is there water there helping this shit to stink SO bad??? *barf*
Poured some bleach down the drain then prep the shower for cleaning. That mass was pretty wide too so it might account for the smell I would occasionally get from the hole. Ugh. That is like nasty n' shit.

Anyway....*deep breathe*

My rattle has been misplaced. Not surprising considering how much of a pack rat I am. I feel it will help me in meditation and journeying. I feel that strongly. I wish I could find it or had some spare rawhide to make another. I think I will, however just order some more rawhide, dye it with tea (worked really good last time) and make another. Or try my hand at a gourd rattle. I have bits of deer skin, horsetail, sinew, some bells, feathers and the like everywhere. A sign perhaps? I think though I was going to make a medicine bag a while back w/ the bundle and I mean good size bundle of leather and deer skin. While I have lofty ideas on how to construct both items, the K.I.S.S. method works just as well plus I can take some time coming up with information, ideas, pictures, signs too. Yesterday in the rainy weather as truck when to have her brakes checked, I saw a Red-tail Hawk sitting on the fence to the cattle ranch. As Mom and I returned back home from dropping the car off, that Hawk was still sitting there. Like I said before, I see Hawks everywhere but this one sitting so long in the rain very close for all to see...Hawks are messengers in regular Native tradition. They have other attributes as well some of which speaks to me. I feel though that I'm either missing something simple or I need to have a chat with Hawk spirit to see if this is a Spirit Guide or Power Animal or I have no idea.

Yes, it be foggy out there as well, arrrrrgh! Great weather for the onions slowly returning...not so much for the corn and pumpkins though pumpkin IS doing good. Might even get some beans if they can show themselves enough for the few insects that still are around. It has been cold in the evenings and not really that warm during the day.
