interracial dating

You know I do get tired of that age old question or questioning of why I date exclusively outside my race. It does not happen as much as it did when I was younger but I don't think I had a way of expressing beyond the anger at non-acceptance within my own community of why I listen to the music I did; why I had the different friends of all races; why I my life does not reflect the past or present of the black community.
(I don't do that POC shit; WHATEVER there. I'm black-get over it.).

So why bring this up? Well some guy on tribe.net asks the question of why/what is going on in the head of black people who date outside their race. The question, over use of big words to try and ask a question that is tinted in again, non-acceptance. After a few others answered I put in my two cents (because by now I'm a semi-pro at answering this question) however I think that I like this guy's answer best; a quote that may not explain the personality of that individual but it is truth in my case. I am who I am and this gal has no time to keep reliving the past to explain why our people act/get away with what they do.

His quote:
just because you may be from a certain racial background, doesn't always mean that your personality traits will be representative of that racial background.
