double beds done
I finished the raised beds about 15 mins ago. All for under $50 bucks plus 3 hours or so of labor. Mom had the good idea to use some old wood to cover the remainder of the dirt in the bed so the cats would instantly think they had shitting boxes. I also made a little walkway between the bed so there will be no need to squish the dirt down by stepping on it. The walkway itself will need some more work but otherwise I like what I see and Mom is pleased.
All the seeds I ordered on Tuesday arrived between Thursday and Friday. This makes the need to prep the garden even more urgent as the growing season almost everywhere has been on its way for several weeks. We are just getting started with the spectacular failure of the plastic seed box. I think however, old seeds exposed to too much light might have also had something to do with it. Although the pepper, marigold, feverfew, and ONE beebalm seed has come up enmasse.
Oh well, I got more seeds to try again!
