It's been about a month since the last update, so I figure I should talk about new exciting developments that happened recently.

First, it looks like I won't be graduating until May, because of the dreaded Advance to Candidacy conspiracy. Basically, you have to apply for graduating, when you're a grad student, the semester before you actually plan on graduating. So I have another semester to go, despite the fact that I'm probably going to finish up my project this semester. Ugh.

Birthday passed relatively uneventfully, though the fiancee made an awesome chicken kiev for dinner, and a cake. I plan on doing something this weekend to fully celebrate it (though what I'll end up doing, I don't know).

Being back home this last weekend was a lot of fun, seeing family and good friends. I talked a little bit about it when I was there, but it's more than just hanging out with good friends who share a history, it's also the fact that I can count on one hand the number of people up here that I can talk to rationally about faith, starting a family, and those sorts of personal things, with fingers to spare. I was thinking about really trying to get overseas (the UK) for my PhD after I graduate, but the last weekend made me realize that I would be perfectly happy moving back home, and doing the PhD thing from there.

Other than that, not a lot has been happening. Getting insanely excited about D&D again (the bug comes and goes), and that's another thing I'm looking forward to in the future, running my own game. A couple of video games are coming in over the next few weeks (just got Persona PSP, and Demon's Souls should come next week) so that'll keep me a little busy methinks.
