Bye Bye Prometheus
at 4:14pm Central time I have just said my goodbyes to my car, Prometheus...
On one hand that's goodbye to $420.00+ a month in car payments and $150.00 Insurance.
Goodbye to the headache and worries of coming up with the money to pay them.
Goodbye to the $900.00+ repair bill that was hanging over my head to get it running properly again.
On the other hand it is goodbye to freedom.
Goodbye to quick trips to the store and late night drives.
Goodbye to being able to drop off and pick up David from school... Luckily the school is within walking distance, unfortunatly the rainy season is almost upon us.
I've got some decent sized checks coming my way over the next few weeks. I'm hoping to save up enough to buy a cheap used car outright with the money. (no payments!)
Kinda numb at the moment. I'm not sure if I am happy and relieved or pissed and upset.
Oh well. Such is life. At least it isn't September anymore.
