Date over Coffee
This was before we were together but it was so memorable I had to include it. After work we drove to Borders at Dolphin Mall, where we sat down to talk over coffee. While we were still only friends then, in retrospect it was exactly what I would expect in a date. We talked, we had coffee and exchanged intimate personal stories. It was pleasant and sweet. Time flew! The only thing that was missing to make it an official date was..
The First Kiss
This happened later, but it was breathtaking. I mean literally.. I couldn't breath! I couldn't breath for a few days afterwards either, but that's only because it was that good! I needed some time to recover but then we started to see each other more and more often.
Sex on the Beach
Okay not really sex.. but it was midnight turning 4th of July and there were fireworks in the air. Not just the ones made of colorful lights. We were in the water and it was dark.. She looked gorgeous in the moonlight. Thinking back I could have sworn there was music in the air ;-)
Showing for Two
We went to see the movie Post Grad a few weeks ago. It was a decent movie starring Alexis Bledel, an actress that Gwinny likes. What made this date stand out so much was that we had the entire theater to ourselves. This made the movie so much more enjoyable, because it let us laugh and comment freely. When we left the rest of the cinema was empty as well, so we had an exclusive night with each other, unmarred by the company of strangers.
The Time Traveler's Wife
At Post Grad we saw a movie preview for The Time Traveler's Wife. Gwinny bought the book to read soon after. One of our most memorable dates is when I read the book to Gwinny for several hours. It felt so intimate.. so innocent. I wish the night (and my voice) could have lasted forever, as opposed to the 80 or so pages we read. If you had come across us my pupils would probably have been shaped into tiny hearts..from how love struck I was!
The CD that this song is from reminds me of Gwinny.. mostly because she's always listening to it!
