I'm so sick. I shouldn't have even gone to school the past few days, let alone play baseball and be running around. It's been about a week. Runny nose, dry heaves, coughing, sneezing, irritated throat, thought it was just allergies at first, but that doesn't explain the coughing and dry heaves.
Swung by Silver Creek Drill Meet with ROTC, seems like the level of respect for anyone has fallen to an all time low within the battalion. I wonder how Major and SGM feel about it, they don't say anything, but I'm sure they feel something.
Pretty much the same way on the baseball team. In comparison with my football experience, the differences... people that want to be there, experience, people that have played the sport for awhile now, Coach that's feared and respected rather than made fun of. Danny's been on the receiving end for a lot of disrespect, maybe because of his lack of production at the plate and inadequacies in the field. I've been able to dodge most of it for... who knows.
If it's a matter of performance and what each individual brings to the table for the team, it still pales as a reason for any of the shit talking.
Grow up guys. It's better to be mature and chose when to be a kid, than to be a kid and choose to be mature.
