I've always liked the idea of
conscious eating - the idea that learning to listen to what your body needs is a healthier way to reach a healthy body than traditional restraint eating (dieting) where external standards are the guide.
Unfortunately, when you share food with a family, your time is limited, and there is no medical emergency, pure conscious eating does not work well. Not to mention that my bodily intuition is a little suspect these days.
So I think I'll start a food diary. I'm going to friends-lock it, not because of it's particularly private, but because no one really needs to read it who doesn't want to. So if you want to follow it, let me know and I'll add you. But I intend food-related musings to be public, so it'll mostly be a straight-forward list of what I'm munching each day. Not exactly a thrill ride.
