WIP that I mentioned working on! But now I'm like 'eh', but oh well. Least the angstmuse'll shut up for a bit?

Angst, death, blood, all that jazz to follow.

“...oops...haha...”

Kieri tried to breathe in enough to speak, but the blade still in her chest shifted each time. The shooting pains through her chest only let her gasp uselessly, tasting blood in her mouth as her body heaved, coughing up blood against her sister's shoulder. The form of her weapons began to shift back to their base form, her arms falling from her sister's body as the shadowy weapons pinning them together faded.

Eclipse moved away from her, leaving the other weapon impaled in her chest, pinning her to the tree at her back. The long knife started to pierce up through her body as the lack of support caused her to slip down the tree slightly. With a pitiful, barely audible whimper, she braced herself against the tree, holding the weapon in her body as she coughed and choked, her eyes on her sister the entire time.

“I forgot...you've got that demon now,” Eclipse breathed. Colichemarde and Chirijiraden had pierced the angel's stomach. “I shouldn't have killed you...oops...”

Oh, that's a brilliant thing to say now, isn't it?

The words were accompanied by a giggle, one that nearly made her try to rise off the blade to attack her sister again. As she listened, a bit dazed, a mote of red light drifted past her vision. “But maybe it's better for you this way.”

More and more bits of red light were drifting past her, and she looked down in confusion. The sword piercing her was dissolving into nothing, a moment later, there was a loud thudding sound from before her. Eclipse was on her knees, the hand on her stomach holding back not blood, but more of whatever the bits of red light were.

“No...” she managed, a strange and unexpected horror making her heart pound again for a brief moment. The weapon holding her immobile was nearly gone, and with a weak effort, she pushed herself forward, falling to the ground before Eclipse with a soft groan. The small motion was all she could manage, however, and her face hit the cool ground, the world blurry and out of focus as her glasses landed on the ground nearby. Then she was being gently tugged sideways, into her sister's lap as warm arms wrapped around her.

“You can't go regretting things like killing people,” Eclipse was murmuring above her, a warm hand stroking her hair. “Er, well...not the ones that kill you first. Not that I should have done that in the first place, since I think I just unleashed an ancient demon on the earth again...”

Before she could make any kind of questioning sound, Eclipse continued speaking to her softly, even as the red motes drifted away from her body, faster than ever. “You'll die here,” the angel told her. “They'll come from that little camp of theirs, find your body, and do their best to revive you. It'll work, too. But you won't be you, you'll have gone on like me...” The hand on her hair seemed to be less warm, less...substantial?

Her hand clenched on her sister's leg, and she heard a soft chuckle. “They'll exploit him, too... Weren't they already training you to be their secret weapon? And now... well.” Eclipse's voice was faint, almost like a breath of wind through the trees. “You've had fun, haven't you? With that cute girl...”

For the briefest of moments, her vision went blank, and her sister was gone.

”Sorry...”
