this is interesting as
whitesangria asked me to blog about my favorite book, which is actually 'Life After God' by Douglas Coupland... and here we have the PTB in Canadian television canceling the series JPOD which is based on another brilliant book by the same authour! instead of blogging about just 'Life After God' i am going to bend the request a bit, and beg you all to take action and help a Canadian show stay on the air... *i will get to Life After God soon i promise*
JPOD is about many things, it takes place in a software company in Vancouver, so there is many references to one of Canada's biggest exports, *other than doctors, lol* POT. The casting is brilliant, it is seriously like watching Doug's words come to life... if you have not watched it you should. Douglas Coupland has a unique gift in that he can articulate the sorrow and pain of this country in general and humanity in specific, he explores the challenges that are unique to this generation, but also to anyone who has ever loved, lived, had a job or weird parents.
The humour which at times can be dark, lightens the burden we all carry when we face the future of this country and this planet... Doug's writing shows us what is inside ourselves, and what is inside of the person sitting beside you. The show is a gift that Canada can proudly give the world, and itself~ please help me spread the word that emails and letters can count for something~ lets make it count for this.
here are some linkies, and my email, feel free to plagerize (sp!) i am sharing like that.

Doug is a National Treasure, his books are well received all over the world, and JPOD is a perfect example of translation from written word to screen, the show is an accomplishment on so many levels, please do not cancel the show!!"
