So I am for sure going to keep getting Justice League. I am sad it took a marketing gimmick of renumbering everything to 1 (even when it is clearly not the beginning for some comics) paid off for DC. I just hope the sales numbers stay high for the sake of the industry. I think comic sales went down a bit due to piracy since before everyone had to pay to read a comic and not everyone buys even if they like it. I think digital comics should be a LOT less than a print comic. Anyway...how about the other comics?
Action Comics 1: Loved it. Clark is like the old fashioned Golden Age Supes. Will continue buying if Grant Morrison is writing.
Animal Man 1: Something I might consider in trade format.
Batgirl 1: I am glad Barbara is Batgirl again. I just wish they explained how she is walking again. I think it would've been better if she was pretending not to be able to walk as Barbara but walk while she is Batgirl. I mean wouldn't people get suspicious that all of a sudden Barbara Gordon is walking again and a red headed Batgirl is back on the scene? Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. I still will be picking it up.
Batwing 1: Very um brutal but the art is lovely. Will buy.
Detective Comics 1: Blasphemy to renumber! But the story is way too dark and gory for me. Not buying.
Green Arrow 1: Not my type of story, might pick up later issues or trades if I ever get storage space.
Hawk and Dove 1: Two words : Rob Liefeld. Not buying.
Justice League International 1: Booster! I love the team books just for the interaction of the characters. Will buy.
Men of War 1: Not my type of story. Not buying.
OMAC 1: The OMAC idea creeps me out. This most likely will be a trade buy instead of floppies.
Static Shock 1: I mainly know this character from DCAU. The story was okay and everyone knows comics need more than white male characters. I will pick this up as floppies if this drops down but other wise it's a trade buy.
Stormwatch 1: I am sad Martian Manhunter isn't a founding League member. But I liked Midnighter and Apollo's first meeting. Don't like Midnighter's armour or Apollo's jock look. Will buy.
Swamp Thing 1: I read some Swamp Thing comics as a kid. Didn't really dig it. Won't be buying this even if Scott Snyder is writing.
Most of my comic decisions are based on storage space. Do I really want this stuff taking up space in the house? Considering I'll be moving abroad soon this is a big factor so I have to really like the comic to buy a hard copy of it. The rest I might pick up later if I find them in bargain bins or some sale. Apparently DC is selling bucket loads of comics. I hope the interest stays but they gotta write more for floppies instead of writing for trades. Waiting month to month for a story is bad enough.
