An update - Looking back

Livejournal is driving me insane, for some reason when I go to update it's not letting me change the userpic. So but that is not the point.

Backtracking a few weeks, wow, already 3 weeks ago to Kristi and Brandon's wedding. Happy belated congratulations! It was a beautiful ceremony. The weather outside was an amazing 60degrees with clear skies, a rarity in the midwest at that time of year, we didn't even need our coats.
I joined Kristi in the dinner with Brandon's family the night before, which was a great fun. The food at the restaurant was just absolutely delicious, and was a good time. After dinner Brandon and his family went to go see the house and Kristi and I went to her parents house, where we, well Kristi put on both of our make-ups in preparation for the big day. We had a good time just sort of hanging out and being girly.
On Sunday we got up around 8, had some breakfast before we got ready to go to Jill's to get our hair done. Jill did an awesome job, Kristi's hair looked absolutely amazing, (with the multitudes of bobby pins) and she managed to keep my hair curled for the entired duration of the wedding. Also, Jills house had almost as many clocks as I eventually want to own.
After our hair we drove over to the contemporary art center to get prepared. There was some technical difficulties in getting Kristi dressed, primarily the fact that we couldn't find the little hooks for the back of the dress. Once everything was solved though, Kristi looked absolutely gorgeous. Once she was dressed people came out to take pictures and give her well wishes.
We stepped outside to have some formal wedding pictures taken of Kristi, and then the ceremony started. The wedding ceremony was just beautiful, Kristi and Brandon both just looked so happy, and the toast Jim gave was great. After the ceremony the wedding party went out to have more pictures taken, with lots of fun photo's being taken. After that we went back inside to the reception which good times were had by all, and the food was delicious.
Now I haven't been to a lot of weddings, but I must say this is the most efficient one I have been to. There was no extensive period between the ceremony and reception, where you just sort of stand and mingle not quite sure what is going on, or where there is much confusion at the ceremony. There was no extensive lingering by people, the clean-up was very smooth and quick. It was, quite literally, amazing at how everything went so well.
