I'm up late when I shouldn't be
work in the morning, you know

these late night hours draw me for some reason

worked half the day on a long research blog post
out of all of it, maybe I'm most proud of the title

it's like one of those old jokes

two taxonomists in a museum,
one says, Have you looked at the Keroplatus carbonarius
type yet?

other one says, No, I'm working on this Asindulum tenuipes
former taxonomist says, That's not Asindulum tenuipes,
that's my wife!

or something like that

I thought it was clever

anyway, it's one of those long posts
sharp contrast to my writing here
semi-technical and all
it's research and I love it
and it drives me nuts sometimes

the best part is when people comment

actually, no, best part is when people comment to say how this one particular part is wrong
cause then you know people are actually reading
one time six people came out of the woodwork to tell me they disagreed
best feeling ever
