Serious Help Needed

I want to start up a website and need some help. I know nothing about this.

I need to get a domain (I know the name I want)
A hosting service
A Better Designer than I am (Danielle?)

I need to know if I can copyright or in some other way protect the name of the site

I need to find out how to set up message boards once the site is up

I need a logo.

Hummm... Im really starting from scratch with only an idea. This should be interesting.

Anyone know any good faqs?
