Meeting at the Lighthouse
Kailin sat on the boardwalk for over an hour staring at the keys. People had passed him by murmuring about his clothes and hair. Usually it bothered him but at the moment he couldn’t think of anything but her.
The conversation about this meeting had been cryptic. He didn’t even know the woman he spoke to, not really. He had seen her around and knew she was probably a friend of Snake’s. That knowledge did little for his anxiety. On Centauri Prime this would be a set up for an assassination, no doubt. On Earth, no, it was Iris. He couldn’t believe she would hurt him.
Slowly, Kailin got up and made his way to the lighthouse. If nothing else it would do him good to see her again. Even if she didn’t want to be with him just seeing her would bring him happiness for a few moments.
