Snowstorm?!?

Google said we were going to get ice today.  Nothing about snow.  I woke up this morning at 11, poked my head through the blinds, and was blinded by whiteness.  I'm not at my best right when I wake up, so I sat there going, "White?  Why is it white?" for a good minute before I figured out that it was snowing so much I couldn't really see out the window.  It's lightened up a little since then.  But there's a good three inches already, and does not look like it has any intention of stopping.  The plows have just now started to clear out the campus roads.  I spent a good fifteen minutes staring out the window this morning, and counted exactly two cars and one dump truck creep on by.  I can see a good portion of road, and its usually pretty busy road, so I'm not limited by small sample size.  The city just shuts completely down when it snows.

Kendell Elementary. Note the snowplow on the upper parking lot.

The baseball field. They just took the tarp off the diamond since the weather was so nice. Ha!

My windowsill. Amount of snow on said windowsill does not accurately reflect the total amount of snow that has fallen.

Also, I'd like to point out that the world appears to end a few blocks to the south (I think it's the south at least). There is nothing but whiteness beyond that point. You can see this phenomenon in the second picture. It's much more pronounced when I look out my window.
